TOO SMALL FOR AN AVERAGE 4 YEAR OLD December 5, 2007 Reviewer:  A. sparrow Real Name (georgia)  See all my reviews >

This is 16" diameter which is quite small. My daughter is not yet 40" and she is WAY too big for this. She tried to hop on it but it is so small she fell. Watermelons are bigger than this. If I didn't buy it so long ago, I would have returned it. I think it would work for 2-3 year old.

Terrible PVC fumes December 9, 2008 Reviewer:  LR See all my reviews >

My 2 1/2 year old loved this item. Unfortunately I had to take it away from her. The PVC gas-off fumes were so strong that it was making me and my daughter cough. The box plainly says it's made of PVC. However I was not expecting it to be so strong. After doing some research the gases are extremely toxic to children (and adults) of any age. I'm going to think twice about purchasing anything with PVC in it from this point on.

Too small to use December 26, 2007 Reviewer:  Meghan (Houston, TX)  See all my reviews >

My 2 year old daughter is too big to use this ball. We also ordered a Sponge Bob ball for her older brother and it is noticably bigger, despite having the same descripton and price. I would not recommend either of these hopping balls as they are both way to small for a child old enough to play with them.

kids love it November 19, 2008 Reviewer:  Busy Mom "wendy" (weaverville, nc, USA)  See all my reviews >

We have this hopping ball and the diego one. My four year old who weighs 34 pounds hops all over the place with his, he absolutely loves it. My two year old weighs 38 pounds, she has a harder time, but is learning quick - she has short legs so it is hard for her to get on the ball by herself (she recently learned to hold on to the wall and balance herself to get on the ball. But they love them and have enjoyed them for five months.

Super fun for my tall baby September 30, 2009 Reviewer:  M. Watson Real Name See all my reviews >

Many of the other reviews say this ball is too small to hop on. We just pumped it up with our compressor as far as we dared and it's totally perfect. It's the best hopping ball for little beginners. The only disadvantage is it loses it's air when not used so we have to keep pumping it up. Great gift for kids!
