not that great May 4, 2009 Reviewer:  Mrs Obee "Melissa O" (Wausau, WI, USA)  See all my reviews >

My husband and i bought this antenna in february because it was the last one target had at the time and we really needed a new one before the transition, as many of our stations switched early. This antenna worked well for a while but it seems to have trouble maintaining a signal. One day we will pull in a station but not another and the next day it switches. We have tried adjusting and moving everything, but it seems to have reached its full potential, and for the cost it really should be better. We are currently looking for a new antenna.

returning this one.... January 27, 2009 Reviewer:  M. Valere "Fire Veil" Real Name (San Antonio,Tx)  See all my reviews >

.... my old analog antenna works better on the HD converter box. Constantly loose signal strength. My analog rabbit ears that I bought about 15 years ago work better then this item. Funny since my old rabbit ears weren't working all that great so I thought better get a new antenna for the box. I haven't had a problem with the old antenna since. Very odd. Still thinking about going to a roof top version of the HD antennas.

GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE!! August 20, 2008 Reviewer:  Zaxblue "zaxblue@zaxblue.com" (Edina, MN, USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this one because it had such high reviews and it looked cool. Unfortunately, everyone who rated this thing 5 stars must just be enamored by the way it looks or something. Otherwise, maybe they just didn't have an antenna before so this made a big improvement.

All I know is that the safety pin I was using for an antenna did just as good of a job on channels under 13 and the safety pin was better than this thing with channels over 13.

Yes, I extended the antenna all the way out which my the way isn't pictured in any of the pictures of this thing online. Probably because it is the same old rabbit ear style antenna that were deemed ugly by the 80's.

I figured it would be much better especially since it had to be plugged in to power the built in signal amplifier. I'm under the assumption now that all that the power cord does is turn on the cool blue light to make you think it's doing something special.

THIS THING IS JUNK!!!!

By the way, it's not like I live in the middle of nowhere or something, I'm less than 10 miles from Minneapolis...reception should be perfect here.

The best tv, is free tv!!! August 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Darin D See all my reviews >

This antenna is great! Hooked it up to a LG 42" Plasma HDTV and pulled in 30 channels from about 40 miles away. Small enough that we left it on top of teh entertainment center. Plenty of HD channels without paying for them!!

should be 0 stars April 22, 2009 Reviewer:  Matt (Tucson, AZ)  See all my reviews >

The antenna shocked me, arched more than an inch as I was going to adjust it. No idea why or how, but now it doesn’t work and my hand hurts. I’ve had the thing for less then a month and it was plugged in correctly into a surge protector and looks fine on the outside. No intention of replacing this with the same product, don’t waste your money. Frankly it didn’t even work very well before this, now it’s just dead.

Thrilled January 9, 2009 Reviewer:  Denise (Southern NH, USA)  See all my reviews >

I'm in the woods of southern NH and getting most stations. Hooked up to a new HDTV, the pictures are great. Missing DTV channel 7 (getting analog) but I'll have to rerun the scan now that I moved the antenna to a window. One and only one "short" coming, literally, the cord for the antenna's a bit short, about 4 ft. Overall, I'm thrilled with the new configuration as I was expecting reception to be a real problem.

Died after 2 months January 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Not Happy See all my reviews >

Be careful. Reception became significantly worse and then I noticed that the little green light on the front of the antenna was no longer lit. The amplifier or power supply died after two months. By that time I no longer have the packaging so Target won't take it back and the warranty is pretty useless for a [...] piece of equipment that must be shipped back to the company.

Worst So Far... January 2, 2009 Reviewer:  HD MAN PDX See all my reviews >

This unit is over priced and horable!!! I originally purchased the [price] Philips unit and returned it because I couldn't get even 1/10th the channels available in my area.. The Philips unit was not amplified.. I got 16 channels perfectly.. With this GE amplified unit I get 5 and they are very low signal strength... I also have to put this unit up about 4ft high in the window to get 5 channels if I put it on top of my TV like I did with the Philips I get no channels at all. This unit is truly garbage, so i will go back to my local store tomorrow and return it and spend [price] more for the amplified Philips and see what happens.... i would rate the [price] Philips at least a 3 it is so much better then this one... DONT BUY!!!!!

BAD October 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Deb (Houston, TX)  See all my reviews >

This is bad….I live in [...]and purchased this GE HDTV Quantum Antenna and the GE Digital Converter Box thinking I would get great reception. Well I didn’t the reception is in and out, I constantly have to move the antenna and the convertor box to get good pictures. I don’t know why they are saying this digital switch it a great thing…I DON’T THINK SO. I got better reception with a low price rabbit ears compared to this.

mighty mite June 26, 2008 Reviewer:  sonofthebeach (cinnaminson nj)  See all my reviews >

I bought this unit with all intentions of returning it to the store after I checked it out. I have a TERK outdoor HD antenna on the roof that works great for my HD Plazma TV, but when I used the Terk thru the GE Digital Converter Box I bought, on an anolog tv, it sucked! only picked up the higher channels.
I suppose its good to match your Converter box and antenna with the same vendor (GE in this case) because when I pumped it thru this little baby I got every channel but one. I was amazed! no positioning issues just plunked it down.
One anoying thing though is that it has a blue LED indicator thats so bright it lights up the whole room at night. I had to put a piece of tape over it.
