Description

    The Galileo FS-1202 Catadioptric Reflector Telescope offers all the advantages of an 1100mm Newtonian Reflector in about one half the physical size. The 2x correcting lens located in the huge 2" focuser makes it all possible. This technology, combined with the 102mm primary mirror, provides crisp, clean images in the night sky. Included in the system are the 20mm and 6mm 1.25" professional-size eyepieces that provide both power and a wide field of view. The optics are defraction-limited, providing everything the night sky has to offer on any particular evening. The huge 2" focuser is adapted to the 1.25" professional size by a provided insert. This telescope will accept any 2" eyepiece. The electronic Mars eye finder scope makes locating points of interest as easy as placing the red dot on the desired object. The preassembled metal tripod makes assembly quick and easy, even for the beginner. Galileo's exclusive super glide mount is counterbalanced with micro controls in both vertical and horizontal movements, making tracking celestial objects as easy as looking up. Galileo's exclusive quick-release tube clamp allows you to adjust the position of the telescope with a simple snap of the clamp. The quick-release accessory tray improves the stability of the telescope while holding eyepieces that may not be in use at the time. The included Galileo Planetarium CD-ROM offers a wealth of information about the sky over your city or any city worldwide. It is your road map to the sky. This telescope is upgradeable to the Galileo Electronic Equatorial Mount and Tripod (sold separately), should you wish to further your astronomical endeavors.
