Description
Even though this Galileo QR-1235 Newtonian Reflector Telescope is large enough to satisfy the seasoned veteran, the super glide mounts enables even the less-experienced user to enjoy the sights available only through a scope of this size. The large 135mm primary mirror and 1100mm focal length is defraction limited and is capable of viewing images not possible with a smaller Newtonian telescope. It is capable of capturing images of Saturn's rings and Cassini Division, in addition to many other fainter objects in the night sky. This telescope includes Galileo's exclusive 25mm Astroscopic eyepiece. Also includes a 6.8/16mm zoom eyepiece that’s like having 12 eyepieces in one. Just turn the eyepiece to raise or lower the power. The 3x Barlow lens gives you ability to triple the power of the eyepieces. The huge 2" metal helical rack and pinion focuser will accept a larger 2" eyepiece. The electronic Mars eye finder scope makes locating points of interest as easy as placing the red dot on the desired object. The preassembled metal tripod makes assembly quick and easy. Galileo's exclusive super glide mount is counterbalanced with micro controls in both vertical and horizontal moments, making tracking celestial objects as easy as looking up. Galileo's exclusive quick-release tube clamp allows you to adjust the position of the telescope with a simple snap of the clamp. The quick-release accessory tray improves the stability of the telescope while holding eyepieces that may not be in use at the time. The Galileo Planetarium CD-ROM offers a wealth of information about the sky over your city or any city worldwide. It is your roadmap to the sky.
