I bought this as a gift for my son. He's in Germany and wanted something that would include European maps and also the U.S. for when they visit. I was leary of trying to buy the Europe maps separately for fear they would not be the correct ones for the particular unit. I also trusted the Garmin brand. He is very happy with this GPS and I would recommend it for anyone looking to buy.
