Already had one Garmin unit. Wanted one for my other vehicle. Target had the best price. As far as I am concerned, Garmin makes the best GPS. Fast loading, accurate and easy to understand. I have never had any issues with the Garmin units.

Great unit! June 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Michael Trouillon "Michael" Real Name (Sherman Oaks CA)  See all my reviews >

Had been looking at GPS for a bit now and settled on the 755T due to its lane assist, traffic and spoken street names.

It has been working wonderful and even seems to know some of my "hidden" secret routes!

Love my Garmin Nuvi755T June 10, 2009 Reviewer:  Pleased "EdnaM" (Jax, Florida)  See all my reviews >

Bought this Garmin for my husband. The minute he got home, he powered it up and from then on you can't separate him from his Garmin. He's so pleased with it and just keep on checking all the possible use and so far haven't heard any negative comment.
Very please with my decision in buying it.

Garmin 755t review July 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Adler 08 "ABN/RGR/AVN" (Nashville)  See all my reviews >

good: clear picture, distance to turn, name of next street, my speed and the speed limit of the road I am on is fairly accurate. not good: even at 100% hard to hear with A/C on, and the radio on at low volume. If you use the FM transmitter, you can't listen to music, fm,cd or cassette. Maps not a 100% accurate, (I'll get an update). settings and touch features not very consumer friendly. They are not set up the way a travelor thinks on the move. Many screens hard to find, a lot of trial and error. As a former military and airline pilot, I would re-engineer the way it presents and loads info. Map usage cumbersome. going back and forth between functions awkward. Getting current location is a pain in the ***. Needs work to be a great tool. Adequate for the average patient person

Great Features July 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Brett "Brett S" (Raleigh, NC)  See all my reviews >

The Garmin nuvi 755T has the newest features in the x55 series without the high pricetag (bluetooth isn't included, which saves you a lot).

This is one of the best items I have ever purchased. I love gadgets and this one does exactly what it says it will do. Just type in a few keys and you are on your way to your destination. Guess what? My wife really likes it as well!

Garmin is best of the GPS July 4, 2009 Reviewer:  T. Brink Real Name See all my reviews >

This is my second Garmin and the load speed and sattilite connecting speeds are so much faster than my previous model. The lane assist has helped me numberous times to get around metro LA. I am very happy with my purchace and the life time traffic is quite helpful.

Good but a few quirks October 25, 2009 Reviewer:  Ms. Shopper "Carolyn V." (Canton, Ohio)  See all my reviews >

Overall, I am pleased with this unit. I researched GPSs beforehand with Consumer Reports, and their report states that there is no substitute for local knowledge.
Display--you can't check the battery strength or adjust the volume while navigating.
Navigating by Address--Once I navigated using an address and the unit said the address was on my right, when it was actually on my left. I've been trying to figure out how to suspend a route, take a detour, and then resume the route. This would come in handy on highway trips for meal and restroom breaks.
Points of Interest--Often when you use this function, the unit stays "arriving" 1 or even 2 blocks away from the actual designation.
Lane Assist--I love this! It's so handy and performs as expected.

Gets me everywhere...fast. September 21, 2009 Reviewer:  S. Williams "suechik" Real Name (Near Pittsburgh, PA)  See all my reviews >

I have never owned a GPS, but I really like having one. You don't realize how convenient it really is to have. For example, we took a trip to Mountaineer Race Track in West Virginia. There is not much around the area, just a two lane highway that seems desolate. We wanted to eat before we got there. All you do is touch a couple keys and there is a full list of places to eat..now there weren't many, but it was nice to know there were a couple choices and how to find them. I would recommend this unit to anyone, however if you don't live in a metro type of area and aren't traveling to big cities..the traffic feature that you are paying for as well as the lane feature are virtually useless. Target had this on sale when I purchased for $ with free ship and always look for a coupon code. They have always had at least $ off every time I have made a purchase online. Buy the Garmin Nuvi 255w ... if you don't need the extras. I believe it is basically the same system. You get one free map update also. It takes hours... I mean hours to download.
