This is actually a good size futon, I would compare the length to that of an oversized love seat... meaning it's longer then a normal love seat but shorter then a sofa and it is very sturdy. I brought it my senior year in college and I have been out for two years now so over the past three+ years, it is still holding strong. Let me remind you that I have a lot of friends and they are not petite. It was easy to put together as well, just make sorry you actually read the directions. I gave this three stars because even though it is a good futon, if you sit on it for a while (3+ hours) or lay it out for sleeping purposes, the bars start to hurt your backside.

Much like the last rewiew I have had one of these for a few years and it was a good purchase for my situation. It has held up well and is the right size for a smaller room.
Comfort is the big complaint. I had to put plywood on the back and bottom to fix the issue of sitting or sleeping on it for long periods. It was worth the extra cost, time, and effort as it made a HUGE difference in comfort.
