I had one of the older, smaller grills with the bread warmer on top. It worked fairly well; however, clean-up was always a pain.
I bought this new grill in-store, on sale, and I couldn't be more pleased.
This new design is fantastic! The grill plates easily snap on and off with the push of a button, allowing you to wash them in the sink or dishwasher.
Also, the grill surface seems to cook items more evenly than the older model.
Seriously, if you live in an apartment, you like to cook/grill, but don't always have lots of time or don't have the ability to grill out, you can't go wrong with this grill. Cook time is unbelieveably fast, and clean-up is a breeze.

"Removable Plates," is my favorite feature - I just place them in my dishwasher. My previous grill did not have this feature (cleanup was a pain) The grilling space is great for a small family!

I absolutely love this grill! We registered for it as a wedding gift on a recomendation from a friend. We cook on it almost everyday!!! So simple- just plug it in and throw stuff on it! It cleans so easy. Our favorite is quesadillas. We cook the bacon on it first, then cut it up while the chicken is cooking, then cut the chicken up & put the tortilla on with some cheese and just throw everything in there fold the tortilla over and wait till the cheese is melted. SO EASY!!! Perfect for frozen meats if you don't feel like thawing.

Since I got this grill, I use it at least four times a week, maybe more. I have gotten the times for cooking down pat for each of the products I cook on the grill. (Hamburgers, Pork Loin, Chicken Breasts, Sausages, ect.)
The best part of all is putting the plates right in the sink after they have cooled a bit and washing with a George Foreman sponge. Everything comes right off. I am on the process of buying an extra one and I think I am going to purchase this model again.

My husband uses this grill a lot more than I do. It mostly gets used for cooking sausage for breakfast once or twice a week, but I've done bratwurst and hot dogs, too. It's not the newest of the Foreman grills, but the removable plates are INVALUABLE. I slip them off after my husband has grilled and toss them in the dishwasher. They wash up great every time and slip right back on. This feature alone makes this an excellent choice if you like the George Foreman grilling format.

I don't know what it is with mine, but it always seems to cook the bottom of my foods (maily chicken, since that's really all I use it for) much, much more quickly than the top. I open the grill to see how the food is doing, and the top is nearly raw, but I flip it over, and the bottom is burnt. I have found that I have to constantly flip my food over and over. It's just much easier to use the range, since you have to flip there anyway.
...But it does make great cheese-only quesadillas!

I received this as a shower gift and I absolutely love it! Both my fiance and I are intimidated by "real" grills, so this is perfect for us both. The removable plates make cleaning so easy!

My new husband and I received this for a wedding gift and we love it. For the most part he tries to stay out of the kitchen, and I am so excited because due to this machine he has started cooking! :) The removable plates are the best feature because it is so easy to clean them. It also comes with a scrub sponge to clean it with. I recommend this to all the seasoned and new chefs!!

I bought this grill to replace the "apartment" sized George Foreman grill I bought in 2001. I was excited by the thought of removeable plates (for MUCH easier cleaning) and a larger grilling space. After reading the other reviews I decided to risk it anyway. I was disappointed to find that it does not heat as well as my eight year old machine. My first steak tasted like it was baked instead of grilled. I couldn't even finish it. It may work better for you [...]. But I'm returning it and going back to my [...] 8 year old machine.
