After reading the quite surprising negative reviews, I felt the need to counter them with a positive one. Perhaps if your child has blond hair, you should heed the warnings that past reviewers have written. My son is at that rock-n-roll...wanting to streak hair stage. While visiting with my friend, her daughter had this kit and applied it to my son's hair. I allowed him to keep the colors in his hair for 2 days, and then he had to wash it out. No problem ... no residue. He has light-brown hair (with natural highlights). He's begged me to find this kit in a boy's version, yet I haven't had any luck. He does't care if I buy this one for him ... he just wants it! That says it all.

read every review and you will see that its for..
[!] brown hair only [!] and thats the truth! i have brown hair and it worrked fine but all the other reviews with blonde did not wash out! if your thinking about buying this for someone with blonde hair, well think again! bc if you want it to stay in her hair then be my guest bc thats just what it will do to blonde hair. brown hair is the best way to go! trust me ppl i know about fashion and stuff!

The toy is fabulous. I got it for my 9 year old last Christmas and she loved it and has used it several times. The problem is, as others have written, now that we love it refills are nowhere to be found in stores - and are as much or more than the original product on another website!! Any clues on where to get reasonable refills are appreciated. So far emails to the company are unanswered.

My daughters had fun playing with this BUT all of the color has not washed out of my 6 year olds hair! She has spots of pink everywhere. I would not purchase this item again!

I read the reviews before purchasing this and was a bit skeptic, however my 8 YR. old loves it! The dye came right out of her and her friends hair (both have extremely blonde hair)...It was easy to apply, clean up and reuse...We got 4 uses out of it, 2x's on each girl w/ about 3 streaks of pink and 3 of blue on each one...so totaling 12 streaks on each of them...The silver and white doesn't show up in the blonde hair, but the pink and blue was bright and the girls loved it...I am having a hard time finding the refill tubes of gel though...it is stiff at first but let it dry then brush or comb it and it looks pretty real and is soft like the rest of the hair..I would definately recommend this to a friend...

My daughter's hair is blond and after two weeks the green and pink is still very visible. I have tried regular shampoo, clarifying shampoo, dish detergent and bar soap and it will not come out. I am extremely upset and want an answer as to how to remove this product from her hair.

This product is not so good ! I bought it for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas because she is always wanting to have color in her hair. We are now on day 6 and 3 hair washes later and the color is still there - and bright! My daughter is even tired of the color and said she doesn't ever want to use this again.

This toy does not work really well.
It doesn't show up and it is hard to get out of your hair.
My friends and I used it and it didn't show up.
If you want it to show up you have to go over it like 100 times.
I do not like this toy.

This was my daughter's must have toy last Christmas and I went crazy to find it and she played with it maybe 3 times, it was messy, the paint more like globbed in her hair and it was really hard to wash out, probably should be for an older "tween"
