Great value, flattering shade of red

I'm 5'1" and this dress in size XL fit me perfect (the Womens Merona XS-sized boat neck sweater dress that I had been eyeing was too baggy around the waist).

It gathers at the waist on the inside, with stitches over a slightly stretchy plastic tape (the sort that's increasingly used to stitch loops to the sides of clothes to stop them sliding off hangers). The edges of the tape make it a little scratchy to wear, so I wore it with a thin camisole underneath. Once colder temps roll in, I'm sure it could be paired with V-neck long-sleeved tees.

The hem has a slight tendency to roll up.

Other than that, the red - a little darker than Target's signature hue - will complement many skin tones.
