My husband and I love LOVE LOVE these monitors! We originally had another set of monitors (the Fisher-Price Lights and Sounds Baby Monitors) and we returned them because of their poor performance and we bought this monitor instead. I can literally hear my son (3 1/2 months old) roll over in his crib)! If he makes any type of noise or movement, I know it! We live in a house full of various appliances that would typically interfere with monitors (cell phones, cordless phones, wireless internet) and we have not had any problem with interference with this monitor!

This monitor was nice at first. I got it to replace an analog model that gave us static problems. After about 6 months it has started making popping and clicking noises over the speaker. I just emailed Graco and will see what they have to say about this issue. I tried to find the receipt but couldn't locate it so I'm not sure they'll even be able to help.

Do not buy this annoying monitor, we had another one that cost only $15 and was 100 times better but broke because we kept dropping it, I want to throw this one out the window. It keeps going out of range and beeps all of the time, mind you we live in a 2 bedroom apartment with only wood in between the walls, ugh its just so annoying, don't waste or your money, if you do though then keep the receipt and box for when you decide to return the junk.

Would not recommend or buy again. Same problems as others explained and had to discard after 4 months of use. Complete waste of money and truly expected more for the price we paid.

we bought this last week and charged it initially for 16 hours as indicated by the instructions. We have it both on and off the charger throughout the day. But just the other night, i had taken it out of the charger to have it closer to my head, and we woke up 3 hours later from the baby crying loudly, not coming from the monitor, because it had apparently fully discharged in less than 3 hours. It just seems too short a battery life on the rechargeable batteries. the clarity is fine, and the vibe is useful, but if you are going about various tasks throughout the day, it would be nice not to have to put it in the charger every few hours.

We love this monitor. It has a great range - I can take the dog out for fetch 100 yards away and still have reception. Especially love the size and NO ANTENNA! Fits in a jacket pocket perfectly. Have used it for 6 months with no problems. I can even hear my baby snoring it's so sensitive.

Do Not Buy This Monitor

We first bought this monitor for our son about 3 years ago. It worked fine for a while and we were pleased with it. We never ran into any battery issues since we only used it in our bedroom and were able to keep it on the cradle the entire time. However, after a while it started making the same crackling static noise so many others have mentioned and also kept losing signal randomly. Our house is not large at all, and it isn't like we were moving it at all. We would have to move it an inch left or right, or prop it up on something in the room to finally get it to stop making the noises! And that was always short lived.
So since we were originally pleased with it we figured maybe it had just worn out(it had been about 2 years I think), and so we bought the same model again. This new one didn't last long at all before all the same problems started up. Only now this one is WORSE! And for some odd reason it suddenly sets off and makes a terrible constant, loud buzzing alarm sound!!! When this happens the ability to hear what's going on in the room is disabled, and to get it to stop you have to go in and turn the base off and then back on. We cannot figure out what sets it off, but it seems as if any louder sound (such as our son calling for us from his room) or slight movement to the shelf it is sitting on does the trick, and even sometimes just shutting his door will set it off..... obviously NOT going to work if every time our son cries the alarm shuts off and makes this buzzing alarm noise!
The only reason we struggle with this still is because we have spent a lot on TWO of these monitors now and don't really want to buy another one. We do NOT recommend this monitor at all!

We bought this monitor for our daughter, and though it has lasted almost 2 years, it is annoying as heck!!! it randomly pops and cracks, like someone is running their hand over the reciever in her room. and then it starts beeping like its out of range, when its three rooms down!! ive put up with it ONLY because i spent so much money on it, money that its NOT worth!! i will never go with a graco monitor again, thats for sure. i suggest you dont either! save yourself the aggravation. and money.

This was an expensive monitor, but we paid the price expecting high quality, good range (we wanted to be able to work out in the yard), etc. I don't know anyone who has had so many problems with their monitor, and if I would buy again, I would not buy this one. One of the receivers stopped working after just a few months - a new battery did not help. Same problems as other users... beeping as if out of range, even though we weren't, doesn't hold a charge for very long, and beeping at random during the night (as if we need another interruption in our sleep). Now the battery is totally dead and we can't find a replacement easily -- no one carries it. We must order one and wait over a week for it to be delivered. If I had bought this somewhere that had a REASONABLE RETURN POLICY (unlike Target), I would bring it back. It is a piece of junk!!!!!

Graco, you should be ashamed. Charging [so much] for this garbage is ridiculous. The battery doesn't hold a charge and the smallest breeze will disconnect the cord from the base or the unit itself. We've had the monitor for a year and it's completely frustrating. Boo.
