This game is only ok... I've played the GT series since the first one about 11 years ago and loved them since. But I wasn't as pleased with the Prologue. It felt like more of a demo for GT5 because it only gives you like 5 tracks. I guess I sortof expected that, but I lost even more faith in the game once I found out they where delaying the REAL GT5 just to make improvments on the Prologue, which doesn't make sence to me at all.
Aside from that, the graphics are nice, cars are ok, you can't modify them though, I think you might be able to after beating the game, but what good does it do at that point?
the online play isn't that great because a lot of people use this option that helps you keep control of your car, which is practically like using a cheat because it straightens you out if your sliding out of control....
The game in general is hard if you haven't played a gran turismo game. After all the last GT was called "The Real Driving Simulator" The GT games are much harder than any other racing game. So don't expect to pick up the Prologue and be good at it if you haven't played a gran turismo game before.

If you love Gran Turismo overall, then you should totally consider getting this game! Also if you like games like Forza motor sports, this game is even better, the graphics are the best out of ant video game in any other console.
This game simulates real life to it full extend, race up to 16 cars at a time, play on with your friends, and learn how to drift! Even though is only the prologue, (not full version of the game)I love this game, and if you like high performance and quality for your Playstation 3, get it now!

I am new to the series, i am used to games like Midnight Club and Need for Speed, games considered 'fantasy racing' when you compare them to GT5:Pro. Now with that said i don't think it is any better than the others, i like to customize my cars, not give them a one tone color. The controls take a much different approach as well as the gameplay, much more difficult, it truly seems to resemble 'real driving'. The selection of cars is not terrible, but i do prefer my american cars and there is not a lot, the game favors japanese more than anything. Overall i think its worth renting, if you do decide to get it then be warned it takes up about 4GB for those who are concerned about space on the PS3 hard drive.
