We bought this for our crawling baby. We put his play mat on top of this tumbling mat so we could protect him from the cement floor. We're happy with the tumbling mat for this purpose.
It's not too heavy, folds up nicely when needed, and the cushioning is decent for the price. It is a bit squishy, so if you want a super firm mat this isn't it. But very firm mats cost a whole lot more.
The vinyl material feels fairly durable. I'm satisfied with this tumbling mat. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 (for "durability" and "overall") becauseI think it's "very good" not "excellent". (I gave 1 star for "fun" and "educational value" because I wasn't given the option to leave those ratings blank, even though they don't apply.)
