The blender is fast and powerful. 2X 500w motors = 1000w passing slush back and forth sounds awesome right?!
BUT it can't grind ice at all. I'm talking about 80% of the ice cubes staying completely solid.
And sorry but you'll still have to chew most of your fruits in your drink and don't even think of putting any hard or fiberus fruits or vegetables in there in there, it will get stuck.
The smaller attachments are useless, they can't even make a banana strawberry milk shake, something most blenders can handle easy.
Hamilton Beach products always has easy clean up, and are a snap to disassemble. This blender is especially easy to clean, but the blades just don't do the job.

I bought this blender from another store about 2 years ago and it works great. You will need to buy bagged ice as it's not powerful enough to break down ice from your freezer but I love the double jar. As most blenders have just the one jar and the poor bartender ends up never getting to join the party because they only hold 2-3 drinks per blend...meaning by the time everyone has a drink, the first people are empty and you have to start over again! This double jar blender is the perfect solution. It will hold 4-5 drinks per mix, allowing the bartender to join in the fun. You will have to make sure the bottoms of the jars are lined up correctly for it to go on to the base with ease.
I've found it's best to use a pulsing method to break up the ice, and once broken, use one motor at a time to blend it thoroughly.
As for the smaller, individual sized jars, just make sure there's enough liquid to begin with and slowly add more solid ingredients. It's a small jar & therefore smaller area for the 'stuff' to move around & get broken up & mixed in.
Have patience, play with it and join in the party!

great but cups/container break when blending

Pretty good item when the cups don't break from blending frozen strawberries or ice. I've had 2 different packages and the containers have both had frozen strawberries shoot out the side while mixing.
