After reading the reviews, I was worried this item was too good to be true but purchased it anyway. I use it often but was waiting for it to break or start leaking. After using it for few months it's worked perfectly and I love it. I've even brought it along on a few weekend trips away. I've sent one to a friend, who also loves it, and will send more to family. It a good fit for me.

I've never written a review before, but I am so pleased with this iced tea maker, I felt compelled.
Easy to use, easy to clean, fits perfectly in refrigerator door, etc. I actually don't use ice. I prefer to make more tea and then just put in the refrig to cool. Doing it this way makes about 6 pint glasses full of tea.
This totally lived up to my expectations. Seems to be a quality product and well put together. I recommend.

I just bought this iced tea maker and have only used it twice but it's so easy to use and makes the best tasting iced tea. What's great about it is you don't need filters like other iced tea makers. It also has a sturdy, sleek pitcher that doesn't take up a lot of room. Only bad thing is....I wish it would make more iced tea!

I love this iced tea maker. A little advice on the fact that people say it doesn't make much . . . the directions tell you to put ice in it before brewing. DON'T do that. Instead, make two batches w/out changing the bags. Just add more water after the first time around and you get 1/2 gallon. I also put my sugar in the bottom before it brews as well so that it dissolves. Works perfectly that way. Just be careful not to throw away the filter guard (I did that accidentally), but if you do, just don't use loose tea.

I got this for my husband for Father's Day 2005. We use it daily and it worked great for almost a year, then began to leak. Hamilton Beach replaced the unit for the cost of shipping. The second unit also worked great for a while, and now also leaks. I need to use a kitchen towel to soak up what leaks each time I push the button. If you only use it occastionally, it may work well for you. I do like the nice, sturdy pitcher. If I could change my star rating from initial review, I'd give it 3 stars.

I wish this iced-tea maker made more tea at one time--simply because I drink it so fast! There are several steps to get it ready to brew, but once it's brewing, it works quickly and makes delicious tea. A little long and awkward shaped, but overall a good appliance.

I have had this item for about three weeks now and love it. It makes great tea with little fuss. I like my tea sweet, so I add sugar to the bottom of the pitcher before brewing. In less than 10 minutes time, I have delicious tea. If you place the tea bags in the proper location (as stated in the directions)you only need to use 6 bags. Like others, I skip the ice, add water instead, and pop it into the fridge to chill.
One downside I have found is that the tea does stain the filter basket. If you use tea bags, I would take out the filter, as it isn't necessary. The only other downside is that it only makes 2 quarts of tea. I need gallons!!!! :) If you like tea, you will love this tea maker!!

I really like the tea maker. It's slim container fits nicely in the frig. Makes good tea. Draw backs- tea stains the plastic and if you fill the container too full, it spills in frig through holes. Good buy though.

I got this for Christmas two years ago and it gets used at least once a week, sometimes more. Easy to clean, has lasted perfectly under all that use. No leaks, no cracks, nothing. Still brews a perfect pitcher of tea every time. Best small appliance I've ever owned in my life!
