I actually bought this from another store, but I always find target reviews so helpful I thought I would write one here since there are none for this item!

I did a lot of comparing and reading reviews of different food processors trying to find something to fix my exact needs. I'm a single professional that doesn't have a lot of time to cook so I wanted something easy to use, was good quality, didn't cost a ton, and at least both sliced and shredded. So I didn't need a heavy duty processor costing hundreds of dollars. The ones I found at first either had 10+ cup bowls or were mini-processors and only had 2-4 cup bowls. This is literally the only one I found that had a 6 cup bowl.

It works so great. I had never used a processor before I bought this one and before when I grated sweet potatoes by hand (making sweet potato hash browns are my favorite and what finally spurred me to look into buying a processor) it too SO long and was messy, etc. I just stood in my kitchen w/my jaw dropped when in under 3 seconds (literally) it shredded a whole sweet potato. The blade is sharp and fast and Hamilton Beach is a great brand. Have a toaster by them that I love too.

The shredder is the perfect size too, easily stored and I love that it comes with the extra bowls b/c I'm usually cutting more than one thing when I'm using it. It is a very basic, simple to use and works WONDERFULLY!!

The only disappointment was when I took it out of the package I noticed the main bowl was broken. It had a couple chunks of the side of the bowl broken out. I going to guess/hope that was just from rough shipping and doesn't reflect the quality of the overall processor. I've had it for about a month now and nothing else has broke. Plus I just glued the broken chunks back with nail glue and its been holding fine! Plus I was too anxious to start using it to ship it back and wait for a new one!

All in all I highly recommend it to anyone who wants something bigger than a mini-processor, but doesn't need the huge ones meant for large families. And you can't beat the price!! It is the best $40 I've spent in a long time!
