Shade is not glass March 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Susan E. Drake "S.E. Drake" Real Name (NJ)  See all my reviews >

Nice little lamp for the desk at work - but the shade is some sort of resin - not glass - and a little bit crooked.

Loser January 16, 2008 Reviewer:  N. Rengler Real Name (Kitsap Peninsula, WA)  See all my reviews >

Maybe I am the loser, but if my experience is typical, this lamp is a loser. One of the metal sockets was not tight in the plastic holder, thus not allowing the bulb to seat. As I tightened the bulb, the metal receptacle (socket) simply spun around. Terrible quality control. Nice look, $10 more in the store than online (odd), but I paid for two sockets that work, not one.

Pretty to look at. November 25, 2007 Reviewer:  missgayle See all my reviews >

I love the look of the lamps. I bought two,but the bulbs hang below the shade and blind you when you sit by them.I put small bulbs in them.

Love this lamp! January 31, 2007 Reviewer:  Target Mom (California)  See all my reviews >

Incredible price for such a nice lamp. I have two in my family room, and no one would ever guess they were so inexpensive!

Great lamp and great set in general! March 5, 2007 Reviewer:  Rachel See all my reviews >

We have this lamp on one of our end tables in our family room. We also have the same style torch lamp in our family room and the smaller accent lamp on our kitchen counter. I love that they have this same style in three different sizes. It really pulls together my family room/kitchen well since we have an open floor plan in that area of the house. I'm really considering purchasing this lamp again for our other end table in our family room. I don't think you'll be disappointed! One caveat w/ the torch lamp if you're thinking of purchasing it..not sure about all of them, but ours was very difficult to stand up straight.

This Isn't Glass March 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Jan Patters Real Name (Pembroke Pines, Fl United States)  See all my reviews >

This lamp is advertised as a glass table lamp where in fact the shade is really just plastic. Also, if you look at the shade the sodder was placed poorly and causes it to look junky. When I received the lamp, I am guessing it was stored in a humid area. The styrofoam broke into tiny beads and was stuck all over the lamp. When you tried to take off the hundreds of beads, then the beads got all over my clothes and hands and was very hard to get them off your body because they cling to your hands. Another annoying thing is if you use a regular light bulb (it requires 2 regular light bulbs), the bulbs lean against the plastic shade which causes me worry. I don't know if the intense heat from the bulbs will actually melt the plastic shade. If you turn the plastic shade so it doesn't hit the bulb then it looks silly because the shade looks like it is on an angle and is not aligned right with the stand. I went out and bought 2 oven light bulbs or you can use a fan bulb because they are smaller than a regular light bulb. That worked great and now it doesn't hit against the plastic shade. From a distance, I will say the lamp looks great and is very pretty. But when you look at the shade close up, you can tell it is a cheap plastic and sodder looks horrible. Overall, I have had a lot of compliments on the lamp from friends and family. For the [price], it is worth it!

Nice, but pieces missing April 27, 2007 Reviewer:  momof2 "Andrea" (Dayton, Ohio)  See all my reviews >

I just received this lamp as a wedding gift and was happy until I went to put it together. It is missing 2 pieces. I guess I will have to exchange it or return it. Other than that it is a very nice looking lamp.

Nice Lamp April 26, 2007 Reviewer:  MrsCJ (Roseboro, N.C.)  See all my reviews >

I recieved the lamp yesterday. It was very well packed and came in fine condition. Very well made leaded glass shade. Looks expensive. It has two sockets for bulbs. I am happy with this purchase. I only wish it was available in a larger size as well.

Great product for price November 4, 2008 Reviewer:  virichip See all my reviews >

I bought two of these lamps online for a home office. I wanted something inexpensive that looked classy. These definitely fill the bill - heavy and well-crafted. They come in a very compact box cleverly designed to hold all the pieces and minimizing any chance for damage. Assembly is pretty easy but prepare for messy white foam droppings sticking to your hands and some of the parts. I kept a vacuum cleaner nearby and kept sucking them up as I worked.
I would have given 5 stars but found that the lamp shades were slightly tilted when the lamp was fully assembled - just measure from the bottom of the shade to the table top on each side to see if it is off but don't try to bend the shade to correct it as it could break. In my case I found that the culprit was the small top rod. Take the shade off and drop a small screwdriver down in the rod and while holding the bottom of the rod firmly gently bend the rod back into place using the screwdriver as leverage. Other than that problem these lamps are a terrific buy. If you belong to AAA and buy them through their site you can get 10% off.

Ok for the money... April 5, 2008 Reviewer:  Targarita (Frigid South East)  See all my reviews >

I own this lamp and the smaller/buffet version. This one is the better-made product. Color scheme is nice...different... a toned-down palette than you normally see. A friendly little lamp for the money. Panels are glass, nasty, greasy stuff some have mentioned can be easily wiped off.
