Great value! March 2, 2006 Reviewer:  About to be a Mom (Raleigh, NC)  See all my reviews >

After looking at gliders at serveral baby boutiques and realizing I found them all ugly, I decided to go the more economical route and purchase one from this site. After 30 minutes of assembly, I had the chair in the nursery. I'm SO impressed with how comfortable the chair and ottoman are! The cushions seem pretty durable. The chair isn't huge, I'm not sure my husband will fit in it, but it's perfect for me. All in all, I'm thrilled I purchased this bargain rather than spend 4 times the money on a custom order. Thanks for coming through again, Target!

Love it (with one caveat) August 4, 2006 Reviewer:  Savvy Shopper "Becky F" (Nashville, TN)  See all my reviews >

This glider looks great and is super comfortable. The materials are high-quality and it's easy to put together. I have't had any spills yet, but my father (who works in the furniture industry) assured me that the microfiber suede should wipe clean very easily. The gliding motion is smooth and I like that the back of the glider is high enough to rest my head when I'm rocking the baby.

The only thing I would change is the ottoman. It also looks great and is very comfy....but there is not a "stationary" option. I breastfeed and need a sturdy spot to rest my feet, but the ottoman ONLY glides. I would like to see a foot-operated lever similar to the one on the chair that would switch the ottoman from gliding to stationary depending on need.

Since it's inconvenient to keep moving stepstools with an infant, I'm unable to use the ottoman right now...I have the kitchen stepstool in front of the glider instead (not terribly visually appealing, to say the least). I would love to be able to just switch to that lovely ottoman when it's time to rock baby to sleep, but unfortunately the only use for the ottoman now is a seat for my husband.

I'm either going to have to ditch the ottoman permanently and buy a stool or purchase another chair in which to nurse. I'll probably buy another chair as the glider is really heavenly for rocking with baby. I do like it and would buy it again but I do think that, especially since it's marketed as nursery furniture, the ottoman should have been better designed.

Great for the price... July 14, 2006 Reviewer:  Bargin Buyer "KC" (San Diego)  See all my reviews >

After trying to find a glider for weeks, we saw this one and said YES (I was tired of looking). It's nice and clean looking. It's great for the price also. There are only two things that I would change: 1- the instructions say you shouldn't wash the covers and 2- the seat cushion is sort of hard, but it's that hard that will get worn in after a little while. Overall it's nice looking and comfortable. Also be sure to buy this item online b/c in the store the chair's the same price but the ottoman is sold separately for $80.

I recommend this one! August 4, 2006 Reviewer:  Mom to Be (Texas)  See all my reviews >

For the price, this is a great glider/ottoman combination. My husband and I looked at several at [a baby store] and online, and some were cheaper but poorly made, and others were nicer but very overpriced. We chose this glider after reading the great reviews on the Target website, and it was well worth the price. My husband and I are both tall people, and the headrest is high enough that we are still able to rest our heads on it without straining our necks. The seat, back and arm cushions are very comfortable. The wood stain is beautiful and coordinates nicely with our mahogany and cherry furniture. I recommend this chair!

Not the chair's fault... June 24, 2008 Reviewer:  J. Benton Real Name See all my reviews >

I have read a lot of reviews for this glider that say it is extremely narrow and some people have a hard time fitting into it. My wife is 9 months pregnant and has no troubles whatsoever. I am 6'0, 235 lbs. I am overweight and a lot of my weight is in my legs and butt. I wear a size 40 in pants. I fit in the chair with room to spare. I really don't want to be rude, but it is a fantastic chair and I thought the reviews saying the chair is too narrow were really off the mark. I'm a big guy and I fit in the chair just fine, so if you are having problems fitting into it, it really isn't the chairs fault, now is it? If you are that big, you should probably realize you need to try before you buy anyway...

Highly recommended! May 8, 2006 Reviewer:  First Time Mom "Anna B" (Michigan)  See all my reviews >

I looked for over 2 months for the "perfect" glider that had all the bells & whistles (which were anywhere from $500-900), and finally gave up since I wasn't thrilled with the look of any of them. This glider & ottoman set for $200 is absolutely perfect - it comes in a beautiful cherry color, and the cushions are a very nice material (not the plain cotton). It was extremely easy to assemble (I did it myself in under 20 minutes - my husband was so proud!). It definitely does the job - it glides perfectly, and will last us through the next few kids. It may not recline or swivel, but it is so comfortable, I could definitely fall asleep in it. It was delivered in less than 2 days. Highly recommended!

August Mom to Be Loves New Glider/Ottoman July 13, 2006 Reviewer:  Cryssy M "Cryssy" (Atlanta, GA)  See all my reviews >

I ordered the Glider/Ottoman on the 11th and received it on the 13th. Because I'm a nesting maniac, I couldn't wait to assemble the glider (as a previous reviewer stated, the ottoman comes assembled). VERY easy to assemble. I managed to maneuver my big belly all around it, and then I was able to reap the benefits of my work. The Glider moves smoothly and is very comfy. Since my baby isn't here yet, I don't know how comfy we'll both be, but I was able to wrap my boppy around my torso and get into a comfy nursing position. My hubby was able to sit comfortbaly in the seat as well. We're looking forward to using the Glider/Ottoman with our baby girl.

Fine for the $$ May 3, 2006 Reviewer:  mommy2b (New York, NY)  See all my reviews >

I bought this glider sight unseen after looking at really expensive ones at [other stores]. I put it together myself (at 37 weeks pregnant!) and it only took me about 35 minutes and was very easy. However, when I put the bottom cushion on it didn't fit right and I then noticed that it looks like it was meant for another chair because it has cut-out notches that don't line up with the chair back. The back cushion fits fine and is very comfortable, but the seat cushion feels like cheap foam and is not very "cushy". Nevertheless, it will be fine for me and baby b/c I don't have the energy to pack it pack up and return it to Target. For [the price] though, this is worth every penny so far.

Just "okay" October 7, 2006 Reviewer:  Mother-to-be "Becky" (NM, USA)  See all my reviews >

This glider does the job and is great for the price. But, the cherry color is more red than pictured and I really don't like the armrests. They're comfortable but I don't like that they snap and velcro on (which looks kind of cheap) and they are already starting to flop to one side just from resting my arms on them (I've had this chair for 3 days now). The fabric is tweed I think and not as soft as I'd have liked. Also, the chair seems kind of small (from the chair back to the front) and makes me feel like it's pushing me out...maybe that will go away as the cushins get broken in. I don't dislike it enough to take it apart and send it back but I don't recommend it and wish I had bought a different chair.

Minor Assembly/Five Pieces July 10, 2006 Reviewer:  Veronica D. Madison Real Name See all my reviews >

I did some extensive shopping, but I was able to assemble this and a stroller in the same day. The ottoman was assembled upon arrival. I am eight months pregnant and I did not have to hunt for additional tools to assemble this product. I think it was an awesome deal and my husband loves it.
