We bought this for our seven year-old daughter about three weeks ago. She loves it and so do I! It's easy to upload songs using Windows Media Player. It shows you the name of the song and assigns each song a number as well so you can find the song you want to hear easily. I even use it sometimes.
My only complaint is that the on/off button is also the Play, Pause and Stop button. You have to press that button three times to shut it off each time. Also, the menus take some getting used to. It has a voice recorder that she hasn't really seemed interested in. It wasn't the easist feature to figure out. Nevertheless, we bought it so she could listen to her favorite songs and it serves its purpose well. Another thing I like about it is that it only uses one AAA battery and it has a battery meter to show you how much life you have left in your battery. We've had it for about three weeks and haven't had to replace the battery yet.

Good price for a cute and useful MP3 player.

I bought this for my daughters fith birthday and it is very poorly made. I have an mp3 player that has been used by her and I for over 2 years with no problems--this one has broken--the battery backing is not staying on--in less than 2 weeks. Also, turns on and off way to easily. Why can't they make good products for kids?

This item is not user friendly at all. It was difficult for us as adults to operate the on/off switch and to switch to the next songs, let alone for our daughter. The earbud came loose and fell off the first day. It's really not well made at all. The battery compartment needed to be taped shut.

Got this for our 4 year old and she loves it! We attached more kid friendly headphones that stay on better and she always has it with her bopping along to her songs. Love the necklace feature to wear the device. She has learned how to master the controls very well and only needs a little help from us.

this player works well, is easy for kids to navigate and doesn't play tunes too loudly which is good for the kids ears. It is compatible with PC and Mac, and has easy drag&drop functionality. The only thing I found disappointing is that the songs play in alpha order, no matter how how you import them into the player, so you have to keep hitting the forward/back button to get to the song you want. It works well with a Hello Kitty docking station that isn't carried by Target unfortunately. [...]
