I purchased this mouse because I thought it was just the cutest thing. Setup on my Windows XP laptop was a snap. I just plugged in the USB dongle and the computer recognized it right away and loaded the software for it.

Setting up the mouse was easy too. I inserted two AA batteries and pressed the On/Off button on the bottom of the mouse and the synchronization button on the USB dongle and I was up and running in a matter of seconds.

It seems to me that the folks writing bad reviews of this mouse simply didn't read the instructions. I read the instructions first, which helped a lot.

The Hello Kitty wireless mouse does not function like other wireless mice that I've used (namely Microsoft wireless mice). For one thing, you have to manually synchronize the Hello Kitty wireless mouse to the USB dongle, which I've never had to do with Microsoft wireless mice. The other thing different about the Hello Kitty wireless mouse is that it goes to sleep after ten minutes of inactivity. To wake it up, you have to press the left mouse button. On my Microsoft wireless mice, I only need to move the mouse. So, it's easy to see why some folks would have trouble if they didn't take the time to familiarize themselves with the Hello Kitty wireless mouse.

The reason I gave the Hello Kitty wireless mouse four stars instead of five is because it doesn't function like other wireless mice that I've used. If it weren't for the manual synchronization and having to press the left mouse button to wake it up, it would have received five stars.

I do like the Hello Kitty wireless mouse though. It's just too cute.

hellloooo . . . you have to be smarter than the mouse. for vista or xp go into device manager and force change the driver to "microsoft usb wheel mouse optical". it'll say it's not compatible but it is. works fine, lasts long time.

I bought my hello kitty mouse about 3 or 4 months ago and, after figuring out how to synchronize it, the mouse worked awesome. Now, though, it is very sparatic, moving all crazy over the screen and i have no control of it. i've changed the batteries, but that hasn't changed it's movement. it's as if the mouse does not want to move the way i guide it. this is adorable, but definitly not a good purchase for actually using it as a mouse.

I bought this mouse about 3 months ago. After finally getting the batteries in it, I plugged it in and had trouble getting to finally work. After it did work, I decided to plug it into the bag of the computer and it stopped working. You have to have the USB connector visible for the mouse. After about 2 months of use, I already had to change the batteries. Now a month after that, it just stops working all together. The light on the bottom of the mouse and on the USB connector are still lit. The arrow on the screen won't move. I tried restarting my computer and finally put in a different mouse that one worked fine. Though this is a cute mouse, it was ultimately a waste of $25.

I just got this mouse and I love it!! It looks cute and works good. I had no trouble installing it. I was worried when I got it because it says that it works with Windows XP and I have Windows Vista, but thankfully, it worked. I could not have chosen a better mouse. It was the cheapest I saw for a wireless mouse and plus, its Hello Kitty. What's better than that?

I have this as well, and I use a mac...I even have it connected to a usb hub which is connected to my macbook (laptop) when I like to use my external display...I have no problems with it! You have to kind of play with it for a sec to get it to sync but once you got it going no problems!!!

I bought this item for my daughter fro here computer it works so nicely she loves playing and at the same time can injoy the fun of hello kitty at the same time
