The only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 was because they are starting to discontinue the fragrances this machine comes with. We have had our Brethe Air Revitalizer for over a year and I still absolutely love it! When we bought it there were four flavors: vanilla, lavender, citrus, and lime. The lime is my favorite, it smells incredibly fresh. But recently when I went to buy the lime I was unable to find it. I found out today that the lime has been discontinued and I am afraid the orange is about to be discontinued too. The orange was my second fave and everywhere is out of stock, including the Homedics website. So that leaves vanilla and lavender. Those aromas are a little medicine smelling but are still fresh. I have never owned a machine that distributes the fragrance throughout the house like this machine. My only concern now is that they are going to stop making fragrances for it. Then I will be stuck with a [..] machine that swirls water around but doesn't freshen the air.

I love the Air Revitalizer! I got it because it reminded me of my parents' Rainbow vacuum. I put it right by the kitty litter and I can see how much dust the AR picks up. I usually use it without the fragrances, it's too strong for me. But when I do use them I only put 1 or 2 drops. The only down side to this is having to clean it everyday or every other day. And it needs to be empty if not in use, or you will get build-up and mildew under the brim. Then it'll be hard to clean. Other than that this is the best air purifier I've ever had.

This little machine works wonders. We've had ours for about a month now and it does a fantastic job freshening the air. We have three dogs, a very active 11 year old son and we've always got people coming and going through the house. The scent lasts about four hours, however any odors are gone because the solution continues to work. It even works well at eliminating cooking odors (i.e. fish). The only reason I don't give this machine five stars is because 1) The scent only lasts about four hours unless you add additional solution to the water and 2) the lime scent is very difficult to find. I can only find the lime scent on Homedics website They only sell the lime in the smaller 2.03 oz solution but they sell it there in a three pack. I haven't tried the lavendar because I hate the smell of lavender, but the lime is wonderful, the orange is my 2nd favorite and the vanilla I don't like at all. You do need to wash the bowl often, otherwise it gets a ring around the bowl and the bowl itself will begin to look cloudy but it is extremely easy to clean. I bought mine atanother store using the 20% coupon you get in the mail & the newspaper, I paid less for it there.

This machine works so well as an air freshener, I used to burn candles all the time, now I just use this. I have a 3 level townhouse and you can smell this throughout the entire house when I turn it on. The vanilla smells like a cleaning product. The citrus is decent, but the lime is wonderful. People are saying the Lime is discontinued, and it's no where to be found in any of the stores though I did find it on the Homedics website and purchased 3 bottles so hopefully it will last. I've also read that you can use essential oils in this machine instead of the homedics solution, I tried it and its not the same.

I highly recomment this as an air freshener, it will get rid of any odor and make your home smell incredible. It's not much of a humidifier though, after running it for 12 hours, barely any of the water is gone. After using it for two days though, the water is grey and a bit dirty looking so I do believe it cleans the air a bit it's worth it, though you can use the 20% off coupons from Bed Bath and Beyond and get it there. Use the lime or citrus and you'll get addicted to it.
