We have had ours for 4 days. We had a storm come through and sure enough, I found it in a mangled mess of bent frame half in the yard and half over the fence. It has also started to rust already. I am bummed because it was really nice looking and we loved sitting under it. I guess I'll just stick to an umbrella. Taking it back to the store tomorrow.

This item was delivered to us earlier this week. We set it up yesterday, didn't seem very sturdy. I guess we were right because and I came home from work today and it's a mangled mess from some light wind. Netting is ripped, sides are bent up, lights are broken. And it even tore a screen on one of my house windows. What a mess!

Ok...I read the other comments and was concerned that this gazebo would not be good for me as I live in Florida. Took a chance and picked one up anyway. It looks great and was very easy to install. It is still looking good after many Florida tropical rain storms. No signs of rust. You MUST anchor it well...and if you have soil that doesn't compact use another anchor method then the little ones provided with the gazebo. Would I take this down during a hurricane? ...of course. As for the normal everyday rains and winds we have had no problem.

Set up was really easy, although some of the bars that you put together don't line up properly. We bolted it to our deck so that it would square up and has withstood a large windy storm. They supply 'tent stakes' to hold it down but if possible, do something more sturdy. I can see how it'd bend in a storm or fly out of the ground with a good wind.

I bought this at the end of Summer 07 so I've had almost a full year now. I've never had the problems or it blowing away with wind or anything and I have the stakes that came with it. I guess my back yard is a little more sheltered than most. I do have some wear and tear on the screens, but that like another reviewer is due to my dog. Would buy again at the end of season price I got!!

For the love of God, you are paying for an item that is suppose to be used for sun protection and picnics only! Gazebo's are not meant to be used 24 hours a day. If you want a shelter to with stand wind and storms, build a building. These should never be left up all the time. I had a neighbor ask me if they are to be taken down in the winter. Yes! They will collapse from the weight of the snow. Most units are not to be bolted to the deck. Read your instructions! This causes more damage. Please people, use common sense

We got it [Price] and we are going on our 3rd summer and We use 1/2 block style cinderblocks 2 on each conner to keep it stead WITHOUT EVER GIVING US ANY TROUBLE AT ALL!!!
We leave just the frame up all year long & noticed a little rust so we re-inforced OR wrapped the roof frame rods with foam tubing like insulating pipes!
I put the roof on and off along with the curtains MYSELF WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE EVER....
Our dogs ran into 1 curtain pannel 3 times before it ripped! w*M sells 10x10 replacement roofs for less than [Price]in a few different colors
I DONT UNDERSTAND THESE reviews at all..... OH WELL I GUESS COMMON SENSE IS P R I C E L E S S!

It's a inexpensive, and nice looking Gazebo. I didn't expect it to be permanent rod iron gazebo that would not blow away in the wind. It's aluminum and light, therefore will blow away like a glider if the cover is on. It is what it is. I think for the price the quality is acceptable, and it's VERY easy to assemble. If your expectations are shade, good looks at a low price, this is it.

We have not had any problems with ours at all. We have never been able to use our deck because of the sun. Since putting up our gazebo we have been out there everyday, and that's been almost 4 months ago. As far as the wind/rain, it was very windy yesterday(40mph winds), lost a tree, but the gazebo is still going strong. ****However, we do not have ours staked in the ground, we screwed ours directly to the deck.*** The only problem we have had is one of the straps that holds the ring for the netting broke, but it was because a patio chair was placed on top of it.

Lasted 3 summers in Michigan

We had this gazebo for three summers. We took the roof and netting down late in the fall and put it back up in the spring. We bolted the frame to our wood deck and it was surprisingly sturdy through the many spring and summer rain and wind storms. The rails are on the flimsy side but we never had anything bend or break. The netting material eventually did get moldy (duh-it is outside!) and the last year we had it up it had various rips and tears, some due to the weather and some due to my dog thinking a small tear was the entrance to the gazebo! All in all it was worth the price.
