I like this fan very much. The choice of fresh air or exhaust is great and you can do both at the same time. Fan works very well, blows strong on super setting and gently on low. Also has high setting.One & only con is that fan is not quiet on super or high settings, but noise is not the type that is obnoxious or annoying. I just tune it out. Low is just a light breeze sound. Puts you to sleep. Has thermostat to program fan to turn off or on automatically at (your) preset temp.Front grate of each fan can be turned to direct air flow where you want it. Both sides pull out accordian style to cover up empty space on either side of fan as it sits in window, for a perfect fit and privacy. Has 5 year warranty. Great value. I am going to buy a couple more of these for my home!

I purchased this fan four years ago, and use it A LOT. I am very picky about fans, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best fan I have ever purchased.

I liked the ability to choose intake/exhaust and having one go each way when needed. I have very old house with old old windows and they fit in perfectly. I do have a hard time with one window getting the fan out, but it's more because the window has to be held up while I maneuver the fan..........it's not the fans' fault. I love that there is a thermostat on the fan so it comes on and off as needed instead of staying on all day or all night. I originally bought 3 to start with I may get one or two more to vent my attic this summer.

I am pleased with this fan product...all work well, so far (bought more than 1). They keep the air inside the apartment feeling fresh and comfortable (its almost like living outdoors, lol) all the time. (The air inside tend to become warm, stale, and stuffy, if there is no air circulation). And, they are nice to have, so I can keep the doors/or patio doors closed, to keep the place cooler (For ex: The sun, tends to come in the front door, by the kitchen and makes that area become too warm. But using the fan only, helps keeps that area cooler, especially when I use it to exhaust the warm air, when I cook food in there.) The only problem (but its minor) I had, was that I had a hard time pulling out the side panels and pulled on it, kinda hard. I almost pulled one out and broke it off! You have to be careful, when pulling them out. Pull, using firm, but short jerks...pulling ea side out, alittle at a time, to the length you want it extended. (NOTE: If the fan is rattling loud, it could be the plastic, side panels (extenders) doing that. I found that out, and placed a small, chip-bag clipper in between the panel and base of fan (had some in hand, but wasnt using), to stop the rattling noise. It worked! The fan itself will make a slight humming noise, but the fan really doesnt make a loud noise(at least mine, doesnt). Hope this helps!)

this is a great fan! Seriously, two fans operate independantly in two directions at 3 speeds. Someone said it rattled; dude, EVERYTHING rattles if you dont install it correctly. backstory: I keep large lizards and raise feeder rats, so ventilation is an issue; I've tried a lot of window fans, these are the best for the price. Plus Target ships it straight to you so you don't have to go to their store, and really who wants to do that...?

This fan does have 3 speeds, but there is no variation in the speeds as stated in the description. The adjuster knob only engages about half way through the cycle, rendering the first half of the rotation useless. I choose to be optimistic and go with the good reviews of this fan, but they led me in the wrong direction.

I was going to return it, but I live in NYC and the hassle of hauling it to a UPS store is too much of a pain. My suggestion to you is to spring the extra 30 bucks and buy a higher quality one. I certainly wish I had.

We got one of these little guys two years ago, and it's survived two moves halfway across the US and three in-town moves. Never rattled, never disappointed, and it's never let us down. It's so dependable that now my fiance can't sleep without the quiet whir of the fan.

The fact that you can change the directions of the fans is awesome - one time I accidentally burned something on the stove and we were able to vent out our apartment with zero cross-breeze in no time!

You could say we're definitely fans.
