We ordered this product online for our 3 year old son this past Christmas('08) and have been happy with the product so far. It is a little bit chintzy, but it really is a fun toy.
Having said that, here are a few things to consider. This product appears to be advertised as having two parts (as seen in the pictures), but we found out the hard way that it only comes with the skate ramp and does not include the 1/2 pipe pictured on this site. If I was an avid skater, I might have known the difference, but I am not.
Also, there is no volume setting on the toy...just LOUD. If that is going to bother you, I suggest you leave the batteries out. If you can stand it, it really makes it more fun for the kids to hear all the crashing, cat meowing, and farting (?) sounds.
Overall a very likable product. Not sure about the durability factor yet. It seems sorta flimsy, but if you can get it at a discounted rate, it might be worth it.
