If you are a big-time fan of old-school American open wheel racing, give this one a shot. C'mon, where else are you going to find a way to experience even a little of the thrill of driving an Offy-powered front engined roadster at Indy?
Having said that, remember it is Indianapolis (you only turn left) and the cars being replicated are 40-plus years old which means less-than modern handling characteristics. Some of the scenery is spot-on for Indy in the '60s but it could have been better. Gameplay itself isn't bad but the pitstops are a chore (refueling the car is tortuous at best)and this aspect should probably have been rethought. You will not see Gran Turismo-level detail here, no suspension tuning or fooling with gear ratios, tires and engine tuning. Also there is only one track, so replay value is limited.
History buffs will have some fun, the rest of you who want to play tuner and have a wide selection of tracks should look elsewhere.
