This item was very cute in the picture but when I received it I was surprised to see that the grate had very large holes, so large that my dog,(a terrier mix)was scared of it, and I was afraid that she might get her nail stuck. The discription says a honeycomb grate and the product is big squares. It also doesn't fit a normal sized pee pad. I did try a newspapers, which did fit, but the problem was my dog was scared of the thing and she refused to use it. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone, unless there dog is a puppy and had never used anything else! Also not so good for small breeds.

POOR DESIGN

I was very disappointed with this potty. Unfortunately it is poorly designed. The plastic tray is not deep enough and it was horizontally U-shaped so that when you put the screen on, it touches the center of the tray but not the sides. This causes it to slide around and easily come off the tray. The plastic was cheaply formed and molded improperly.

We have had our Wiz Dog for over 1 year and it has been wonderfull. Before we bought this product, our puppy would rip up his wewe pad every chance he got. Now we have two puppies and they have not once been able to get to or rip up the wewe pad. This product has saved us from a big headach.

I have had the dog wiz for at least 7 months. I live in a small condo with carpet and needed a product like this. My dog is a shih zu and she goes directly on the potty!!! This is a wonderful product and I highly recommend it!

This product is great ! Our pug uses this potty and will also go outside on the grass. However, when there is rain or snow present, this is a lifesaver for us ! It was not difficult to train her to use it and it saves us a lot of aggravation. I would highly recommend this product.

This is a glorified boot caddy with a screen you would see on a ceiling light in an office. Very flimsy! This invention is the stupidest thing in the world. I am humilitated that I even purchased it.

I bought one of these in hopes of keeping my little pup (pomeranian [...])from tearing up her piddle pads, but as a previous poster mentioned, the plastic squares were almost as large as her feet and "sharp" so she was scared of it/it hurt her feet.

My puggle is about five months old and 15 lbs. it is the perfect size for her and it works great. We started on puppy pads when we first got her and transitioned to this after she used to eat and drag the pads around. This looks much better and works great in the winter when the weather is really bad. It only took a few days for her to switch and hasn't had an accident since.

I actually bought this product when it first came out under the name Wizdog. I had a puppy who would shred puppy pads, and this device solved the problem. The pads went under the screen and he could no longer shred them. Also, when I was away I would keep my puppy in an exercise pen with the tray inside. It was WONDERFUL if we could not get back in time to let him out. He always went on the tray, and it was very easy to clean up. I thought I wanted to have him go on it forever so I wouldn't have to let him out in bad weather, but I realized that dogs just would rather go outside than inside, so I don't use it anymore. But it was a total lifesaver for a little puppy who couldn't hold it very long and I had to be gone.

Our puppy was paper trained first. But he would always step in his pee and then leave paw prints all over our hardwood floors. The top grid eliminates this problem and prevents pee from leaking onto the floor when he "misses" because it's a little elevated. It's a great invention & I highly recommend it!!!
