My son loves this play mat. He started playing on it at 2 months, and it was one of the first things he started to laugh at. He is now 4 months and it is still something that will occupy him for 20 minutes or more. For the price, and for something that he will grow out of quickly, we are very happy with this toy.

My baby has lots of fun on this mat - he'll bat at the toys with his hands as well as kicking them with his feet. And with all the different textures, colors and flappy ears (which are filled with noisy cellophane) on the mat itself, it's great for tummy time as well.

The mirror isn't great, and is rather awkward to attach, maybe because of the weight. For that, I subtracted one star.

I received this as a shower gift and first put my newborn on it in his playpen at 3 weeks. He loved all of the colors and the music/sounds kept his interest. He could bat at and kick the animals even at such a young age which really amused him. Great play mat for wee ones...

My son is almost 8 weeks old, and for the past couple weeks, he has loved to play on this activity mat. At first he didn't really care much about it, but now that he is getting older and more alert, he loves it. He will play on it for about 10-20 minutes at a time, usually kicking his legs and cooing and smiling the whole time. He loves the music and the mirror at the top of the gym. It's nice because the bars hang lower than several other activity gyms, so he can reach the toys easily at his age. It has extra loops so you can hang other toys as well. Would have given it five stars if the mat was a little bigger. It's definitely well worth the money, especially because it's much cheaper than many others!

This is a great play mat! My three-month old daughter loves it. The toys hang low enough for her to interact with them (e.g., hit them with her hand). The colors are fun and bright for her eyes. And for me, it is easy to pick up and put down with one hand.
This toy was rated #1 in Parenting Magazine Nov 2008 for babies.

My husband bought this for our 4 month old daughter to take to grandma's house and she love it. All the toys are low enough for her to grab and put in her month just how she like it. She also grab hold of the toys to help her roll over. I love it.

I purchased this gym because i liked the colors, and it seemed a little different then the usual. The baby seems to like the music , she laughs with it. However i think the toys lay to low. And she grows bored with it after 5 minutes or so.

I have to work every other weekend nights and Daddy get's to take full responsibility of out little one for three days. We started putting her on her Lil'Lion when she was about two months old. She loves it. It is a life saver for Daddy because she can entertain herself for a little bit. My daughter loves the colors and batting at the toys that hang down. I would recommend this product to anyone with a little one!

My mom bought this for my daughter and she loves it. It keeps her attention for atleast 20 minutes! I agree with the person below me that the toys do lay alitle low but its not too bad. And I also wish I didnt have to keep pressing the button to make the music start. Over all I like it though.
