This was one of my daughter's favorite tosy when she was younger - from the time she could shake a rattle up until about 7 months when she became more mobile. She is now interested in toys that do a little more. This toy is great for learning cause and effect because when baby shakes it the toy plays music and the lights go around. Has an on/off switch - very rare for a toy this size! Also - very quiet toy! So many of those toys are so loud, but this one isn't. Drawbacks - only two very short songs - tedious for the adults. It is also very sensitive, so if you do not shut it off and it ends up on your back seat or under your car seat, be prepared for a very repetative ride! It goes off over even the smallest of bumps (and I have a very smoothe riding car!) I did have to replace the batteries in it (check the prices for the batteries before buying them at the jewelry counter. Craft stores sell the RH44 and they are sometimes cheaper). Overall - one of the only electronic toys this size, keeps baby's attention. Like it a lot.

I bought this for my son when he was 3 months and it was good for showing him shake=song & lights. He is almost nine months and still plays with it.

My son loves this toy, he plays with it all the time. Although the battery died in it about a month after I bought it. He still played with it even when the battery was dead. The toy is very entertaining for him.
