We purchased this from [another retailer]. We noticed a difference in the air quality. It did leave a chlorine-like smell in the room. The only reason we don't have it anymore if because our toddler kept knocking it over and ended up breaking it.

I am impressed with this product. The unit runs silent and uses very little power. I am a smoker and I can say that this appliance does wonders! The unit cleans the air overnight and when I wake up and enter the living room the smell of smoke is totally gone!

One word of advice: If you clean the blades with a damp paper towel, follow the instructions and dry the blades and wait 2-3 hours before turning the unit back on. If the blades have any moisture on them when it is running it will be damaged and it will start to crackle and pop.

Surprisingly good air flow in operation, nearly silent, full length ozone screens minimize ozone odors, low electrical current of only 16 watts on high. I wish my unit worked longer than two hours before quitting, cleaning the grids didn't help. I've ordered a replacement since I was very pleased with the units performance and air freshening ability when working. I am just disappointed that when I ordered my original unit Target offered free shipping and the free shipping offer has expired, [...]

It hardly makes any noise so it is great to have in your living room. It does seem that it needs to be cleaned pretty regularly so I guess it's cleaning my air. It's very hard to tell, though so I will assume it's working!
