I have to agree with the lady who spoke of these jeans not being bootcut as the tag reads. They are way far from that. I too, would concider these almost flair. I had to wear them with boots so they didn't drag on the ground and they nearly flared out near the toe of my boot. Has nothing to do with the fact that I should have gotten the short length. But bootcut is concidered just a bit wider than straight legged jeans. I don't do flairs or straight legged for that matter. But when I found that these were nice looking jeans to give a try and saying how they were bootcut, I thought maybe I was on to something. But dispite my unhappiness with that, I do like the fit and feel of the jeans. Very comfortable. And not to mention the great price as well...

I'm a guy with an athletic body, and I wanted to find jeans that flattered my thighs and butt yet didn't look raunchy [...] by being too low in the rear or too tight in the front. Couldn't find anything in the men's department, so I took a leap of faith and tried these. One of the best decisions I ever made -- these were EXACTLY the style I was looking for.
I have to second what another reviewer said about these jeans being great for girls with a little stomach and hips. I was of course worried that they would look unmasculine since they are, after all, designed for women. But the stretch means that they'll fit both men and women who have slim or athletic bodies. I have very muscular thighs and was worried they wouldn't fit, but once I got them on they looked and felt great.
I'm not sure how these would fit women with curvier bodies, though the stretchiness would probably accommodate larger hips. Heavier people should stay away from these, however. There's nothing flattering about midriff overhang.
On that note, as a guy the low rise has taken a little getting used to -- I have to either wear shirts tucked in or wear a men's thong underneath, but that's the price of wearing sexy jeans! I have no regrets, I have gotten lots of compliments from women on these jeans, and my ex-girlfriend loved them and admired the fact that I'm willing to wear "women's" jeans provided they look good on my body.
These were the first pair of low cut jeans I ever bought but they definitely won't be the last!

I was surprised with the nice wash and fit of these jeans, though they definietly do ride very low. I was so disappointed when I put them on and they had HUGE flare leg openings! I consider a boot cut to be just barely wider than a straight or skinny leg opening, so by my definition, these are not by any means bootcut.

I have the Flare in this style--I got them right before they sold out! I have finally found jeans that fit right in all the right places and are not cheap/sleazy. I am pretty tall at nealry 6' and find it hard to get jeans that fit right. When they fit around the waist, they don't fit length wise and vise versa. However, these are PERFECT! However, about going a size up--not recommended. Had I gotten a 17 instead of a 15, I would have had trouble as I am having to wear a belt with the 15's to keep them where they belong! DEFINITELY a must have!

The fit on these jeans is awful. I have a pretty average body, although I am quite tall. I have a pretty normal waistline and hips. I'm a 14 tall. Taking my cue from other reviewers who recommended going a size up, I ordered them in a 17 long. They're big in the waist which could be taken in a bit..but the worst part is, they barely cover my backside. When I sat down, I was sitting on the "waistband". I could wear these under a very long dress, if I wanted to be uncomfortable. They're going right back. Very disappointing.

I hope Target gets more of these jeans. I bought a pair a year ago and wore them until they fell apart. They are the best jeans ever! Jean shopping brings me to the brink of tears but these jeans are great! The material doesn't look stretchy or cheap. They fit perfectly on girls who have a little stomach and hips (I'm not that big =) just a normal sized girl (9).

I agree completely!! I am actually wearing these jeans as I type...I used to buy Old Navy's boot cut jeans, but when they changed their cuts I found these and it was love at first wear. I have 2 or 3 pairs, and plan to buy more. These jeans fit great in the hip and thigh while not being overly long.

If any of you have had the same experience as I have - trying on 20 styles of jeans, swearing under your breath the whole time, and then going home empty handed - then you may find hope in these jeans. They are low cut - but not thong-showing peep show when you sit down low, and the back pockets are so perfectly placed - your butt will thank you. I would say they are a bit more flared than a regular boot cut - but the great fit everywhere else far outweighs that one minor glitch. I have five pairs (had to have every wash and color!) and I am in love!
