as close to a [designer brush] November 10, 2007 Reviewer:  Jade "just-jade" (boston ma)  See all my reviews >

i read in an article that this brush was comparable to a [designer brush], THE Rolls Royce of hair brushes, without the price tag. my bf has a [designer brush], old, not taken cared of and most of all i couldn't have it. anyways, i used his brush until i brought this home. the feel on the scalp and the shine and untangling of this brush is just the same. the only difference is the handle is more ergonomic than the [designer brush]. keep this one clean and maintained like the [designer brush], it could last you just as long as one. i've tried close to 10 brushes in 5 years ever since i learned of [designer] brushes. this one is definately a keeper.

Not the best... December 14, 2008 Reviewer:  L-Boogie "Music, Fashion, Life..." (L.A., CA)  See all my reviews >

I have very thick & curly hair that is a few inches past my shoulders. I thought I'd give this brush a try & see how it compares to my mason pearson. I was disappointed to find that I couldn't even brush it through my hair. It's alot cheaper than the mason, but the mason pearson is worth the $$ if you ask me. this brush is okay, but doesn't compare

My new favorite thing! July 5, 2008 Reviewer:  ~pink See all my reviews >

I have long, fine hair...but a lot of it. It tangles easily and I have only ever been able to "pick" it. After reading all the raves, I decided to give this brush a try, and lo & behold, it's awesome! It's gentle and doesn't scratch, but the bristles are also strong enough to penetrate to the scalp rather than just skimming off the top as other boar bristle brushes do. Five stars for Sonia!

It's not all I had hoped February 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Allison (Minneapolis)  See all my reviews >

After reading the reviews, I had to have this brush; but it doesn't seem to be any better than my old brush. I like my old brush and this will be a good replacement when it's time to throw it away, but for me it's not the miracle brush it seems to be for other people.

Magic Brush November 6, 2008 Reviewer:  J. Miller Real Name (Bayonne, NJ United States)  See all my reviews >

This brush is 50 stars; five isn't enough. I brushed my hair 1 hour ago and it is still tingly. I love it. It stimulates your scalp to help the sebum get to all parts of your hair to give your hair a natural shine. I love it. I want to get another to keep in my car. Awesome, worth so much more than the [price] that it is being sold for. BUY IT NOW! DON't WAIT, this is the hottest thing since fire.

I've never owned a designer hair brush before. But after reading all the reviews, I thought I should give it a try and bought it at the local Target store. I love it so much, I have a fine long hair.. tangles at the ends, and I have to trim it every month. I was never patient enough to take care of my long hair. But with this brush, my hair is all soft and I can grow it as long as I want to...

sonia kashuk tools hair brush February 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Sweet Sue See all my reviews >

I was excited to have located this hair brush in a Target store due to the many 5-star ratings given the brush by reviewers. I can't rate how well it brushed my hair because there's no way I'm using this on my scalp. As soon as I opened the box it came in I sniffed the red base to which the bristles are attached. Why would I do this? I did so because a couple reviewers on Amazon mentioned an awful odor. I bought the brush anyways thinking that if the odor was so strong other reviewers would have mentioned it and that maybe the couple of people who did mention it were just unlucky and got a bad brush. Well the brush I purchased also had a horrible smell to it-something like oil or rubber. It made me sick. I left the brush out in the open air, hoping the smell would decrease or disappear. It's 3 days later and the odor is still there. I don't know if the smell would transfer to my hair so I will return this item to Target.

wonderful November 21, 2007 Reviewer:  erin jensen Real Name See all my reviews >

I really love this hair brush. I haven't ever tried a Mason Pearson brush; but I read that this was comparable. It feels very nice, the white bristles massage your scalp, making it feel tingly. The black ones go easily through your hair, leaving it soft and shiny. This product is very worth the money.

Designer Brush at Great Price! June 24, 2009 Reviewer:  INTJ Shopper (Madison, MS)  See all my reviews >

My mom raved about her black Kashuk brush and I was able to pick it up in gold. Not only is the brush good looking, it leaves my hair smooth and shiny. The only problem I have now is trying not to overbrush my hair! Get one...or two!

Awesome! My 5yr old and I love it. April 23, 2009 Reviewer:  deeeess (usa)  See all my reviews >

My daughter has really long hair and she always dreaded hair brushing until I bought this brush. It really is great, it doesn't hut her at all anymore. All I have to say is I have the good brush and she says ok brush my hair. I love it for my long hair too. The best brush I have ever bought, and will absolutely be buying this again.. You will love it!
