Gave this Talkie set to my 6 year old nephew for his B-day and he has not put it down since. His best buddy across the street has one talkie and he has the other. They are chatting non-stop all day until Mom and Dad say "enough!". Needless to say, a big hit!

My two sons chose to combine their allowances to buy this as a shared toy--a nice gesture, I thought. Unfortunately, this was a total washout. The range seems to be about 15 feet (after that static overwhelms intelligibility), and limited to line-of-sight--even going slightly around a corner makes the message cut out. A complete waste; couldn't be more of a rip-off. I thought the Transformer folks would care at least a little about protecting the integrity of their brand, but I guess not.

I bought this toy for my child's birthday, only to discover how junky they were. They had about a one foot range and didn't have good reception. Y have a walky talky when your a foot away from the other one. I thought this would be an really good present for my kids to play together with. Only to find out it made my child very upset when it was returned to the store. I would not buy this toy if I were you.
