I received this as a christmas gift and it is the most wonderful coffee maker ever. It is so easy to set and there are no negatives about this maker. My husband and I drink alot of coffee every morning and it is the best thing that was ever made. I would of never thought that I could enjoy a fresher cup of coffee till this maker. Enjoy. Spend the money. You won't regret it.

Great tasting coffee, just make sure you have the carafe on just right because our first pot we made spilled coffee onto the counter during the brew, oops...

We have had nothing but problems with it since we bought it. The main problem is this: if you don't push in the carafe all the way in (just a tiny bit, you cannot even tell from looking at it) it spills coffee all over your kitchen counter and makes a HUGE mess. This should not be happening...it does not fit well under the top. This mess has happened several times with us. Also, the error 4 light is on and will not turn off, will not brew-nothing. Another issue-if it needs to be 'cleaned or descaled', it will not make coffee until you clean it. I have the one with the stainless steel carafe that is SUPPOSED to keep the coffee warm (the bottom part does not heat) and it does not work-coffee is cold very quickly. I am infuriated that with such an expensive coffeemaker it is a piece of junk! I have had better luck with a cheap one!

I brought this product a few weeks ago ,and I love it . It makes me drink coffee more. I really like that it tells me how long it's been since i've brewed coffee last and that the coffee is still as hot as when
I first brewed it.

I had my coffee maker for a little over a year now. It is now broken, for no reason. When I go to brew coffee it just beeps at me and says error and will not brew anything. My husband is an engineer and took it apart to try to fix it and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working either. With it being KitchenAid I didn't feel it was necessary to keep my receipt or warranty, not that they would help anyway with it being over a year old. I am extremely disappointed and very mad that I spent more money thinking it would last longer, when my first coffee maker was $ and lasted me 8 years. Even throughout the year that it was working it was always beeping error for no reason, overall not pleased and will no longer buy anything KitchenAid.

My wife bought this coffee maker for my birthday. The first one had to be returned because it was broken in the box. The second one, after 10 months the carraff cracked around the base, but didn't leak. We contacted Kitchen Aid and they said that accordind to the serial # the machine was out of warranty which was a year. I didn't argue. The beep to let you know the coffe is brewed goes off half way through finishing. The heater burner is much too hot, and if you don't drink the coffee within a half hour it's terrible. But the timer does work well. I would not recommend this maker to anyone. I must add that they wanted way too much money for the replacement carraff. Almost as much as the price of the coffee maker. Too bad my Black and Decker died!
