Have always liked a stand mixer and recently mine "died", I had a friend that enjoyed her KitchenAid Mixer and I had helped her with some wedding cakes - and so, took the plunge, spent the money and have been immensely pleased. V. easy to assemble - liked the job and the multiple tasks it performs. Now, if it will just hold up to my heavy cooking schedule, I am good to go :)

There's a reason this is a classic mixer and that's because KitchenAid makes the best stand mixers on the market. Attractive, sturdy and very powerful. This is the last mixer you will ever need to buy!!

I absolutely love this mixer! I can make anything within minutes! I have neck problems and i used to have to wait for my hubby to get home to make things because i can't mix things for long! But this mixer is amazing! I love it! If you know someone who loves to bake, buy it for them. They will love it as much as i do!

This mixer is a workhorse that will serve you well for years to come. I am using my mother-in-law's Classic White KitchenAid that is about 30 years old and I will definitely buy KitchenAid when this one conks out. The only suggestion I would make to KitchenAid make a larger capacity bowl for the Classic. 4.5 quart is sometimes too small. That's the only thing I would change.

I got mine for Christmas of 2007. Will be making "Christmas cookies" this year. Makes great mashed potatoes. Luv the "tilt back" on the mixer. What more could I say its "KitchenAid".

Like others have said, this has been the gold standard of stand mixers for generations. I do lots of sourdough everything and this mixes big batches without even blinking an eye. Get it; you'll love it; don't even bother with the other brands; it's more than worth the price. As for the "loose pin" described in previous reviews, here's the fix, it's easy. You'll need a flat-head screwdriver for this. Unplug your mixer, remove the bowl and any attachments, and lock the head. Now, with a towel under it to prevent sliding and scratching, carefully lay your mixer down on its side. Look up into the "neck" of the base and you'll see the big pivot pin and a tiny "set screw". Using your hands, center the pivot pin in the neck. You may have to unlock the head and jiggle it a little. Now, keeping the pivot pin centered with one hand, tighten the set screw with the screwdriver in your other hand. Stand it back up and try it out. You should be able to feel the pivot pin rotate as you tilt the head up and down. There, you're done! Now back to mixing! I love this mixer, and my Mom's before it! They work beautifully and they're tough as a tank! Just get it! You know you want it! By the way, I got mine (Classic Plus) at Target for $! Sweet!

I received this as a wedding gift recently (I'd been wanting one for years). This is a marvelous mixer...better than other brands that I had used in the past. I would not only recommend this mixer (quality, ease of use, not to mention that it's just soooo cool) but I know what I'll be getting others for wedding gifts from now on. I swear I don't know how I lived without my mixer. I was always afraid to make bread...not now. With my KitchenAid....all things are possible.

I have had my mixer for over 20 years and it is still going great. My 2 daughters are married and want one for their birthdays. I think of it as an investment.

I love this mixer. When I bought it I wasn't sure if it was really just going to collect dust in my kitchen - but I use it for everything! I LOVE it! I have had mine for 2 years and could not be happier with it. (*the next sentance is a new edit to my old review... *this mixer can only mix one batch at a time - I now wish I had a larger mixer so that I could make double batches!)
