Worth the extra money January 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Pat M "Mom of four" (Tampa, FL, USA)  See all my reviews >

I've had this model for two years, and received a similar Cuisinart model that boasted 200 watts of power. On Christmas, I tried to use the new Cuisinart for my gravy, but it wouldn't whip enough... so, I grabbed my old Kitchenaid and quickly finished the gravy. I returned the Cuisinart and my daughter bought a "Wolfgang Puck" model that came with the blender, plus a beater, and a chopper. The Wolfgang Puck boasted 500 watts, but was horrible- extremely loud and the blades weren't sharp at all. I returned it.
The funny thing is that there isn't anything WRONG with my two year old Kitchenaid- my daughter just wanted to give me a newer model.

I love the power, and the cord is extra long so you aren't confined to the outlet. The variable speeds makes it easy to control wheter you want something barely chopped, or pureed (i.e. bananas). And, it's QUIET.

Worth the money.

My favorite kitchen appliance November 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Busy Mom See all my reviews >

This is my favorite appliance of all time! I've had it for a year and I use it too blend baby food in a jiffy; making butternut squash soup is a cinch, mixed drinks takes 2 sec.-you name it.It doesn't splash and it works so quickly and blends things evenly. And the best thing is that it's so easy to clean up. For years, I put off making things b/c it was such a pain to pull out the blender and then take it all apart to clean. With this, you pop off the end-throw it under some water and thats it. No taking the blades off etc. Plus its quiet and small. I definitly recommend this product! A wonderful christmas present!
