The WORST can opener I've ever owned!

I have never loathed an inanimate object as much as I do this can opener. I prefer manual can openers and when my old one needed to be replaced, I went for this one because it matched my kitchen and I like Kitchenaid products. This can opener is horrible. It takes a few tries to get it started, and then "skips" after a few cranks. I'm ready to throw it in the trash and buy a cheap can opener (like my old one that lasted for years without any problems).

Not sure why others seem to be having problems with this, but I received this from my wedding gift registry and am very happy with it a year on. Definitely worth the buy I think!

Glides across the edge of the can, no need for a knife to open the lid, couldn't be happier. Silicone grip is a huge plus!

I've had this can opener for about six months and I have to go buy a new one now. It never really worked that well, it skipped at least once when going around, but now it's cutting towards the middle of the top of the can! It can't even go around the rim skipping. I would never suggest this product to a friend.

I think this can opener works great especially after several failed attempts with cheaper can openers that worked terribly. I don't have any complaints.

This can opener doesn't even deserve one star! I got this as a wedding gift, and the darn thing never worked. It would always skip little places and never fully open a can, and then one day just bent completely trying to open a regular old can. Piece of trash! I sent my husband out to buy a replacement and, of course, he bought the exact same can opener. I decided to give it a second chance. The darn thing wouldn't even work on the first try this time! Biggest waste of money ever!! Do NOT waste yours on this horrible product! It is SOOOOOOO not worth it!

Bought it for the life time warranty, but that is only if it breaks, not if it is JUNK! It does not EVER complete the full lid, forcing you to twist the final little bit of the top off the can. Then you wonder if there are sharpies in your tuna. I have cut myself several times on those sharp tips... and I have only owned it for a month.
IT stinks! I am telling you, because we should not ALL waste our money!

Bought this when my old electric opener died, then the new one did not work. Thought I would give it a try, but was very skeptical of the manual openers because of the effort it takes to open a can using the old ones. Was very surprised to find this to be VERY easy to use...takes next to no effort to open cans. Works perfectly. Takes up no space compared to the non-working electric models.

Junk... I love the KitchenAid brand, but I have gone threw 3 of these in one year (hoping that if was just a defected one). Nope, They are all like that. I bought the oxo brand one 6 months ago now, and I love it. I will never buy another one of these openers again!

I've only had my Kitchenaid can opener for a few months, but I'm very pleased with it. Mine doesn't skip, at all, and is very easy to handle. It also looks great.
