Junk... I love the KitchenAid brand, but I have gone threw 3 of these in one year (hoping that if was just a defected one). Nope, They are all like that. I bought the oxo brand one 6 months ago now, and I love it. I will never buy another one of these openers again!

In 50 years of being married and living all over the world, I was sure that buying a KitchenAid Can Opener was a "sure thing". Because of a lack of space for my electric can opener, I gave it to my daughter-in-law. Then I purchased a "no hands" opener from "As seen on TV". That lasted 6 months. So, I went for the Kitchen Aid, sure that it would be possibly my best and last can opener.
It doesn't work.....have had it 3 months and it bends cans, doesn't work right, etc.. The chrome Kitchen Aid fell off the third time I used it and on and on and on! My husband had to today get his military can opener to finish opening cans for our dinner.
I am still using appliances from my mother's collection and wish I still had her can opener. Sure it would work better than the KitchenAid purchased 3 months ago. It's going to the trash.........But, it still looks good and like it would work.
This is not the fault of Target but of the KitchenAid company.
