Best purchase for cat, yet! August 27, 2009 Reviewer:  J. Collins "Media PC Guru" Real Name (Los Angeles, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this about a month ago for a little orange kitten I found under the house. He took to it immediately, and everything has held up incredibly well, even after claws, climbing, and chewing. I agree, the material is a little on the thin side, but it's held up well. As for being top heavy, I can see that being possible, but adding another unit (I added the climbing hill) to the side of it, it became much more sturdy. Remember, the bigger the unit's "footprint" the more stable it will be. Putting an addition unit off each two adjoining side (to make an 'L' shaped footprint) would make this impossible to tip over. I love how you can add to it, and change the layout when you want.

I actually built mine a little differently, by leaving off two bars on the bottom, and placing the cat box there. I put the cube in the middle, and since the unit is in a corner, I used the flat 'canopy' as a third side-wall so he only has one in/out from the litter box, where I keep a welcome mat as a litter catcher. It's worked fantastic, especially in the small bathroom where I have it set up for him. I'm so in love with the product, I'm actually headed out right now to buy an add on unit.

NOTE: A little trick I learned because I had to do something like this at a previous job: If you really feel the unit might topple over, pour a little sand (or even litter) into the bottom most tubes before attaching the ends. This keeps the base more weighted. Also, place the scratch post on the first level, not the second level, and it'll help kitty not pull it over on himself.

My overall rating? 5 stars, and a great value for the price!

Not for large cats July 27, 2009 Reviewer:  Cat Mom (Virginia)  See all my reviews >

This is a decent product but definitely not for larger cats. The fabric is very thin, like tent material, and when my 16+ pound cat sat on the top tower the fabric was stretched to capacity and probably wouldn't last very long. Also, as soon as my cat jumped off the top, the whole thing toppled over. I had to return this to the store, but it would probably work well for young or smaller cats.

Neat Product! July 14, 2009 Reviewer:  Jamie See all my reviews >

I was surprised how much my cats liked this product. It's very sturdy and my two youngest cats spend hours chasing each other in and out of the bottom cube! My older cat likes to sleep on the top canopy level and watch the two younger cats. Very pleased with my purchase!

OK for the price. August 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Fiberholic "Rose L." (Cincinnati, OH)  See all my reviews >

The only thing I don't like about this is that our 5 month old kitten almost managed to pull this over on himself. Luckily I caught it before it landed on him. Once we weighted the base it was fine.

Good Product August 10, 2009 Reviewer:  Mkmilaff (Walnut Creek, CA)  See all my reviews >

This was easy to assemble and my cat was VERY excited when I was putting it together. However, she did break the hanging cat toy off of the middle piece before I even had the entire thing assembled. Could be sturdier or use detachable chains for the toys so that they don't come off so easily. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product.

Great Play Area July 29, 2009 Reviewer:  C. Schwartz Real Name See all my reviews >

I purchased this Tower last week and all the kitties really enjoy playing in and around it. Since all 3 have clasws, there are already little claw holes in the material, it is still fine. Happy with the purchse - would prefer the material to be a little sturdier, but all are happy. Added on the Climbing Hill, and will add the Hideaway.

Great Value! July 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Mark Blackburn Real Name (Waukesah, WI USA)  See all my reviews >

I decided to pick up a Kitty City Tower at my local Target yesterday after a friend showed me the website for the products (website). It really caught my attention that you can create different combinations of units to create bigger units for my cat to play with.

My cat especially loves using the scratching post and occasionally sleeping inside the bottom cube area as well.

It is a great product for the price and I would highly recommend it!

lots of fun for my cats~ July 13, 2009 Reviewer:  fashion girl "melissa m" (fort myers, fl)  See all my reviews >

I was planning to buy my cats a wood carpet tower, but then I saw this at Target store. It had a cube, a platform and a nice scratching post, so I decided to get this one ( plus it's much cheaper than the towers in petsmart). After setting this up, my two cats jumped on it right away and started playing with each other on the platform and cube. I went to their website and really like the fact that I could build it any way I want it to be. So I went back to the store and bought a cheaper unit, add the two together, and the unit was actually bigger than I imagined it could be, because they gave extra parts to build two units together. it's also so light weight, made my vacuum cleaning much easier! I am actually planning to buy one of the ramp next time ^^. Now when they are not playing, one will lay on the top, the other one will go into her favorite cube to chill.

Good Product July 12, 2009 Reviewer:  R. Leraaen Real Name See all my reviews >

I just bought the Kitty City Tower, and overall I am very happy with it. I like that you can add to it. I like that the blue and yellow ball can be moved to any side and either level. The pipes are stable. I would recommend putting a couple of balls in the bottom level.

One note is that I have a kitten. It's a bit too tall for him to get to the other stories with out help. The box that it comes in is the perfect height to help him reach the next level. When he is bigger, this won't be an issue. However, I can tell that if you have a heavier cat, get another unit that will add on to a side to help prevent the tower from falling if the cat jumps a bit hard and high.

it was a quick cheap find July 11, 2009 Reviewer:  ferretmom (Portland,OR)  See all my reviews >

The kitty tower was a temporary find for our 7 month old kitty. She loves the scratch post. It took awhile to actually pay any attention to it. Beware: the balls only last for a second :)
