We have used this changing pad from day 1 with our first child (now almost 16 months old). At this point, he's heavy enough that I don't lift him to the changing table unless he has a stinky diaper and I want to be sure the mess is contained.

The "contour" shape is definitely helpful; for a squirmy child, it makes it easier to keep them safe with one hand while throwing the diaper away with the other. For us, it's better than a 4-sided changing pad because my child is very tall. Please do note, however, this is 34" long (bought it to fit my 34" changer), so a lot of the standard changing-pad covers won't fit it (only go to 32" or 33").

This has not held up as well as expected. At this point, you can tell that the stuffing or whatever's inside it has shifted a bit from where it's supposed to be. It seems like the padding in the center part has become very thin. As they other reviewer points out, I don't think they should bill this as "health-care grade" -- it's not. However, it's "good enough," so I plan to get some new covers and keep using this for baby # 2 (due this summer).

I absolutely love this pad!!! My 5 month old is very wiggly when trying to change him, constantly trying to roll over!!!
The high sides are perfect!!! No matter how hard he tries, he hasn't managed to overcome the higher sides of this changing pad unlike other lower sided ones!!! It was difficult to find changing pad covers to fit it perfectly since it is extra long and extra tall, but the "Ultra Plush 2 Pack Change Pad Cover" fits well enough.

After an extensive search of the internet for something durable and cleanable, I bought this item for the Daycare I am director of. I could not be more disappointed... this item caught my attention because it said "health care grade". I am quite sure it wouldn't last a week in any health care setting. We use it for several children, so we need to spray and wipe it with a mild bleach-water solution between changes. After less than 2 weeks, it is not white--it has a light gray shadow on it. It looks like it is older than the YEARS old vinyl-covered one I just (unfortunately) threw away... I now wish I had just duct-taped the holes and kept it. It would be much preferable to this. I just wasted [Price] of my employer's money :o( I would have given 0 stars if it was possible. This may be okay for home use with a pretty cloth cover, but don't believe the "health care grade" part for a second!! A big let-down!
