I thought this is a pretty decent bookshelf for the price. It is very easy to reach several hundred dollars for a bookshelf. Despite other reviews, this is probably one of the easiest things I've ever assembled. One of the brackets is tougher to tighten than the other, but with a shorter phillips screwdriver, not a problem. Once everything is put together and tightened, it's pretty sturdy, again, considering the amount paid for the shelf. I think it's great, I have two of them!

Each side come in two pieces that you attached using a metal bracket for each side.. One side wasn't bad as the bracket was on the outside, but the other was on in the inside and it was a pain to tighten. Also, by having only one brack per side, it was still wolbled until you put at least one shelf in.. Some of the shelves had nicks and dents, but they were on the underside.. you couldn't see them once the items is together.. The side also had a few nicks, but because the wood is so dark you can't tell...

this item is really nice to get a sturdy non bulky bookcase. It was easy to put together [...] and looks nice. The only regret is that the 2 main supports (right and left) are not a one piece instead of two which create a slightly difference when assembled.

The bookcase is nice but shortly after putting it together, the bookcase started to slope to the side. It is a good buy, but not sturdy.

I bought a LCD TV that I mounted on the wall so I needed something for the DVD player, cable box etc (and I live in the city in a very small place). This worked wonderfully and everyone that comes to my place loves it. I put the electronics on the bottom two shelves and decorative stuff on the upper narrower shelves. Great buy!

I purchased two of these book cases and one was delivered with the wrong top piece. I recieved two right sides and need a left side. I have called the manufacturer multiple times and left messages with no reply and now i have one nice book case and one that is mostly useless. Do not order this item as if it is sent to you with the wrong parts you will not be able to get them replaced.
