I purchased this as part of a remodel of my daughter's bedroom into a rock star theme. It's fantastic! We all love it. The rotating motor is quiet and the colors are awesome!

I bought the large rotating disco ball for my daughter and two smaller ones for gifts. The casted lights from the large ball appear as check marks. Im not sure if this is how it is supposed to look or if it is simply broken. The smaller, less expensive lamps work well and serve the purpose (child's entertainment). If this is a purchase for a child, I would recommend saving the $20 and buying the smaller lamps.

This semi big plastic ball is a waste of anticipation waiting for. I openned the box...pluged it in... and there was lights but NO SPIN in ANY directions. On the box in huge letters it says it turns in both direction 360 degrees... NOT!!!! It didnt turn at all. I could just hear the motor running though. If you ever dropped it or bumped it wrong, it would shatter. Not worth the money plus shipping & tax. Good thing about Target store refunded it right back...even thou I dont see it in account yet... I was able to return with out a hassle

I bought this to use for a studio 54 themed birthday party, and it was a great addition to the party decor. Since then I have used it for a disco valentine's party that I hosted for my young daughter, and the kids really loved it. My only complaint is that the ball spins a little slower than I would prefer. This is great for parties; however, i think that the effect is better when it is used in combination with other lighted decorations, such as a mirrored disco ball and/or strobe lights.

The ball can 360 degree horizontal rotated for both directions but inside only come with a 25W light bulb. Most of materials are plastic look cheap and the ball it cannot rotated both horizontal & vertical directions at the same time. I think it only worth [half this price]!
