Description

A followup to the Wind Waker, with similar cel-shaded stylings for its 3D engine, and traditional top-down gameplay. The game follows the adventures of Link and Tetra, the leader of a band of pirates, as they discover a ghost ship in dense fog. Link falls into the ocean when Tetra gets into trouble, and he wakes up alone on the shore of a mysterious island. Throughout the game, Link collects sand for his Phantom Hourglass, which allows him to explore deeper and deeper into a time-limited dungeon in his quest to find Tetra.

In both style and characters, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass echoes the smash-hit The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for Nintendo GameCube. But the inviting, easy-to-understand story and ease of control will attract casual and younger players who might be new to Zelda games. The game features a two-player battle mode that can be activated via the game's Wi-Fi connection, as well as the ability to play the entire game with only the Nintendo DS touch screen.

23 and in love... December 3, 2008 Reviewer:  VG lover (Gaithersburg, MD)  See all my reviews >

I have been playing Zelda since it came out on NES a long time ago.

It was a close match to the amazing Ocarina of Time.
I loved it, couldn't put it down and I beat the came in 2 weeks.

It's def. for a loving Zelda fan.
Not recommended for younger children though because they might get frustrated.

Hard but FUN November 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Llama girl (USA)  See all my reviews >

One of the best games I've ever bought, but I don't recommend it for young children (like under 10). I do have to admit though, that I did use the walk through on a game site to help me get through some tough places.
Very challenging, but that's why I bought it!
The one thing I don't like about it is that after you win, you'll never play it again. It just isn't fun the second time, but this problem is outweighed by the fact that the trade-in value is very high.

A must have for ds peopleeeee January 5, 2009 Reviewer:  Sara (wisconsin)  See all my reviews >

Again my nine year old sister got this game for christmas (i know...i play her games more than mine XD) and couldnt figure it out. So. Being her nine year old self, she got frustrated and hid it. She let me play it and i had funnnnnn! I loved scaring the chickens. But be careful. They get mad and chicken-mob you :-) Which WILL damage your health. But its still fun :-) Anyways, theres alot to do in this game and it kept me busy till my sister lost the game. Oh well :-)

One of the BEST!!!!!!!!! January 1, 2009 Reviewer:  DaddyC "BigCReviews" (Belleville, IL USA)  See all my reviews >

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is one of the best games I have ever played. I have been a Zelda fan ever since the Nintendo version. I got this game as a gift and couldn't put it down. The puzzles are sometimes tricky, and take some thinking and planing. But that is what makes it so great. You can't just wing your way through it. You have to put some time and thought into it.

Not really recomended for young kids b/c of the problem solving that is involved, probably 13 and over.

Overall 5 out of 5. Extremely fun and makes you use your brain. ha ha

Best game ever!! October 8, 2008 Reviewer:  Annalyse Hamill Real Name (MD)  See all my reviews >

This is literally the most fun, interactive, complex game I've ever played! And I'm no game amateur. It makes excellent use of the touch screen, there's always some new quest to follow so you never get bored. Going back to the Ocean King's temple like 6 times gets a little annoying, but it's always challenging and keeps you on your toes. Definitely one of the best games ever and certainly the best on the DS.

Legend of zelda is awesome!Though there are parts very tough such as when you have to hit those little squares that have xs and os on them. The game is very challenging and fun even my dad loves the game!Even though I got it when I got my ds Christmas 2007 the game never gets old.
