    In this modern panorama of garage debris, the imprint of The Oblivians is writ large. They influenced many of today's A-list bands even though they spent their short-lived history at the bottom. But what of their lesser-known first band, Compulsive Gamblers? Greg Cartwright & Jack Yarber started this band together in '89 when they were introduced by a mutual friend. This is their 2003 album from Sympathy For The Records Industry.
