Just like the one my Grandfather had

This grill is fantastic and is just like the Sportsman Grill my grandfather had. I bought my own grill from Lodge about 10 years ago. Combined with a charcoal chimney for starting the charcoal, this grill is easy to use and pretty much fool-proof. Highly Recommended.

This Grill is better than great ! I've cooked everythng on this grill over the last 8 years . It's fun to cook on and the large Iron grate gives food an unfogetable charcoal flavor . Everyone who tastes food on this grill buys one . There are now 5 of these in our extended family . If you are considering a Habachi style charcoal grill this is the one ! Extra Parts are available from the manufacture if ever needed and guess what Folks .... IT'S MADE IN THE U.S.A. !!!!!!

If you are looking for a fantastic portable grill, this is the ONE! This little grill will beat a Smokey Joe from Weber by a long shot. It's completely cast iron, incredibly sturdy and rather heavy. You can take it anywhere on the road, or use it at home to make quick, easy dinners. I bought this grill to take on a camping trip and it worked wonderfully. It heats up fast and it holds the heat so you don't have to use many coals. It's easy to clean out and set up so you can get grilling fast. It comes pre-seasoned so you're ready to start cooking right away. Don't let the size fool you. You can fit a lot of food on this grill and feed a crowd if necessary. If you like to camp out or live in a big city and you want a real barbque without all the fuss of a large grill, I highly recommend the Lodge. Wait for Target to put it on sale for half price! That's when I bought mine!

This Grill Is Better Than You Think

I had one of these about 35 years ago and loved it and have been looking for a replacement for a long time.
1. It's cast iron. This means that you have to let it heat up a little longer but also means it will retain the heat and transfer it to food better, just like good cast iron pots.
2. It's economical in its use of fuel. The hibachi was invented in Asia where fuel was hard to come by and they needed something to cook with that used as little fuel as possible.
Although it says pre-seasoned, I would still give the grills a good scrub in hot, soapy water and dry well, then season with vegetable shortening in the oven following directions that are given on many cooking sites. Ater that, just clean with hot water and dry well.

Great Little Grill

This little baby is the ticket for me. Small in size, heavy duty cast iron, easily stored.
It cooks burgers and steaks with the great grill marks from the heavy-duty cast iron grill. Not wimpy "wires' that most conventional grills have---the ones that will slowly age and break. This grill will last for ever!
Clean up? Just use a wet-dry vac and in 10 seconds you are done! Where to put it? Right inside my old propane grill!!! The old gas grill lid closes and protects it from the elements, the wet-dry-vac sits on the bottom shelf along with the charcol. Sweet!
I have used it daily since I got it two weeks ago and it love the flavor it imparts to my burgers.
The only down side I see so far is the metal handle---it is too close the the grills center of gravity to be useful.
The grill is a six piece assembly--the charcol door and vent slide are removable--keep them handy so that they don't get lost if you pack it up for storage.
You can cook for two to four people with this. If you need to cook for more have some guests bring their round style grill and compare them side by side---your guess will be surprized at this little wonder!

Big results from a small amount of charcoal

This is my third Lodge grill in the course of about 25 years. It is satisfyingly sturdy, and though small it easily accommodates food for up to a dozen people cooked in a couple of batches. I like the iron grate which allows grilling vegetables and other delicate food that might otherwise fall through more widely space racks.
This grill requires a comparative small amount of charcoal and does not need to be babied. It will last for 8 to 10 years with no special effort to protect it from the elements. It lives right outside my kitchen door and I can bring it up onto my covered back porch if it begins raining after my fire is underway.

It took a while for us to decide to get this grill. We got rid of our gas grill because we hardly ever used it. We missed having something for grilling so we started research. After seeing the reviews for the Lodge Logic we decided to get it. We are very pleased with it and have no regrets on the purchase. The free shipping clinched the deal. The superb smoked flavor from a charcoal grill far surpasses a gas grill. This one is a keeper!

Even though $seem a lot for a small grill. In the long run it is a real moneysaver #1 - It will last forever. It is a very durable cast iron and #2 - I takes very little charcoal to use it. Since I like to grill out often it is a real value for me. I love my grill!

We love our Lodge Hibachi. It's perfect for small family. Easily cooks four steaks or chops. Less waste than firing up large grill. Easy to store when not in use. Very durable.
