Pump directly into bags March 19, 2007 Reviewer:  Adelle's mom (CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

Since I have started pumping exclusively, these bags have saved me a lot of time. I really like that you can pump directly into the bags. I have been using them for a couple of months now, and they have never once leaked in the freezer. The ziplock top seals easily, and these bags can even stand on their own while you are pumping to give you an extra hand for a second or two. If they were not so pricey I would have given them five stars.

Great for working moms March 20, 2007 Reviewer:  Keen Carlene See all my reviews >

As a full-time working mom, these bags save me a lot of time! I keep a box of storage bags in my "Pump In Style" bag (which also saves space since I don't have to carry 2-4 storage bottles). I can pump directly into the bag and I have less bottles to wash when I bring my son home from daycare. The free standing feature is great too...haven't spilled one yet.

Yuck! Buy Lansinoh instead March 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Julia Davis Real Name (Richmond, Virginia)  See all my reviews >

I have tried Gerber, Lansinoh, and these bags, and definetly have to say the Lansinoh are much better than these! These bags only hold 5 ounces, while the Lansinoh holds six. Medela's also have to freeze standing up, while the Lansinoh's freeze flat (which takes up less freezer space, makes them much easier to stack up one on top of the other, and also makes them defrost much faster). The Medela plastic feels stiff, while the Lansinoh is thicker but more flexible. There is only one seal on these bags, while Lansinoh is double sealed. I also like the pouring spout of the Lansinoh bags much better--it's much easier to pour it out once it's defrosted. Plus, these Medela bags take double the time to defrost, and it's much harder to seal all the air out (so they're more likely to freezer burn). I've also had two of them leak on me, while I've never had any of my Lansinoh bags leak. Your breastmilk is way too precious to risk using these bags. Medela has some really great pumps--but their bags are not well designed--don't trust them!

Medela Bags Vs Lansioh Bags December 3, 2008 Reviewer:  happy2help See all my reviews >

So I breastfed my first son but never stored my milk, however, with my twin boys I am able to store a ton of milk up. I had bought the Medela bags a while back and used them all up so I went to target to buy some more and saw that the Lansioh bags were cheaper and yes that is what you get a cheaper product. You may get more for your money with them but I really like the Medela bags. They are thicker and sturdier than the Lansioh bags. Also what the Lansioh box doesn't tell you but the insert does (so you get them home and then find out) that the bags can puncture easily if bumped or leaned on anything!!! Well that just doesn't work for me. So needless to say I will be going back to Target and buying more Medela bags. Don't waste your money like I did on a "bargin". The Lansioh bags even feel flimsy vs the Medela bags.

I love those bags March 30, 2009 Reviewer:  Irina Lerner "Irene G" Real Name (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

I am a working mom. Ok, the bags say "approximate" - for the volume measure. I don't mind that... I have a lot of milk and the baby can have as much as she wants, I don't really track it. I love being able to pump right into the bag, it's much more sanitary and less stuff to wash and quicker at work/take up no room in your disinfect bag. Just write down the approximate ounces on the line provided and then you can store them flat no problem. You have to be careful when sealing them, indeed, but i found that any spills are human error. The annoying thing is that they don't really tear on the perforated line very well, I use scissors and do the tearing on the paper part. Once you are done pumping, if you made at least 2-3 oz in the bag, the bag stands by itself if you shake it a bit to get the milk down. I find that it's helpful to make sure that after you open the bag, that you let the air into the bottom, so that the milk goes right down. ALSO, I found a way cheaper place for all of medela accessories and pumps . Hope that helps you save money!

Buy Lansinoh May 6, 2009 Reviewer:  tscooper "Cooper" (Conyers, GA)  See all my reviews >

These bags allow you to pump milk into them using the breast pump. I thought they would be more convienient, however, I found that these bags do not hold much milk and pumping into them is a hassle since they are not sturdy. Buy Lansinoh instead they hold more and have a double zip to keep milk from leaking.

Great, but COSTLY!! January 26, 2009 Reviewer:  Westin's Mom "Erin" (Ohio)  See all my reviews >

I agree, buy Lansinoh! It's not that these are poor quality, so if you have the extra cash, go for it. They secure right to the pump, so there's no pouring milk into another bag for storage. The con is that if you don't pump enough to fill two bags and could store it all in one, you've wasted a bag. I pump into Medela bottles and pour the milk into Lansinoh bags.

Just okay August 1, 2008 Reviewer:  Kassidy's Mommy (Kailua, HI)  See all my reviews >

I bought these bags because I could pump directly into them. In that respect, they work fine but can be pretty messy. The milk gets around the seal and makes it hard to get a good seal. The plastic is stiff and much harder to work with than the Lansinoh bags. You have to freeze them standing up which ends up taking a lot of freezer room.

I haven't thawed out any of the bags yet so I can't say if they leak or not. The milk looks a little freezerburnt but that may just be that the milk separated a little before it froze. Overall, I don't think they're worth twice the price of Lansinoh bags.

Expensive July 15, 2008 Reviewer:  2 Time Mom "Caroline" (Virginia Beach, VA)  See all my reviews >

These bags worked fine but cost alot. I found Gerber's work better for less money. These bags only hold 5 oz. and are not easy to seal.

Save Your Money!! Buy the Lansinoh ones instead. January 25, 2009 Reviewer:  Zeke's Mommy "Jess" (Houston,TX)  See all my reviews >

I tried these thinking it would be easier to pump into the bag and it was, BUT they don't measure accurately. They were off by half an ounce- much to my disappointment. I started pumping into my bottles and putting them in the bag, so I tried the Lansinoh ones and was very satisfied. They are very thick and pour into the bottles much easier. The Medela bags were very thin & inaccurate. I do stand behind most Medela products, but was very disappointed in this particular product.
