I've been using this pillow for a week now and I'm very happy with it. I'm a back/side sleeper, and this pillow gives my neck more support than regular pillows and I've been waking up much less stiff. The foam also stays noticeably cooler than my regular pillow. The only reason I don't give this product a full five stars is that the foam stinks pretty bad for a few days after taking it out of the bag, but the smell has definitely diminished.

I too have searched a long time for an excellent quality pillow, and I was willing to get the best that money can buy. I love this pillow, it was affordable and a great quality! It's not too hard and not too soft. Excellent for back and neck pain, and especially those of us who sleep on our backs!

I'm the kind of person who needs to have about 4-5 pillows in my bed. I usually sleep with two, but always need a very comfortable one to support my head and neck as i usually sleep on my side.

I purchased this pillow recently and although i think I should go back and pay [.............]extra for the "standard" non-contour pillow, I must say that this pillow did support my neck well and I had the first restful night's sleep I've had in a looooong time.

As for odors - I have one of the most sensitive noses of anyone I know. I don't smell anything strange or chemical-y on this pillow at all. I also purchased this in-store and there was no "plastic wrap" on it.

I highly recommend this pillow for anyone who has problems with their neck or shoulders while sleeping. This pillow is EXTREMELY comfortable!

I loved this pillow when sleeping on my back and side. But, after about 6 months it stopped working! I know that sounds weird, but it now reacts like a foam pillow (doesn't "mold" like normal). I didn't realize this until 2 weeks of very bad neck pain. If you buy this pillow, keep an eye out for this problem -- I wouldn't want anyone to experience the neck pain I've had recently.
For the price, I'll probably go out and buy another one.

Ok, of course it's gonna smell bad when you take it out of the plastic. It's gonna smell like the manufacturer and the packaging. Here's a tip...that white zipped cover is MACHINE WASHABLE!!! WASH IT!! And as for the pillow itself, sure it's not washable, however, Febreeze does wonders! Give it a try! I had absolutely no problems getting the smell out. Is it the best pillow ever? No, but I don't have any more neck problems when I wake up! And this will do for now until I can afford a REALLY GREAT one!

If you like an extra firm pillow, this might be ok for you. Mine went back to the store. I will look for one with a little more give.

I bought this item, but later exchanged it for the Deluxe Memory Foam, due to the fact that it is more comfortable. I also didn't really care for the contour.

I just got mine 2 days ago, and it works just fine for me. About the odor...is true, but is not that bad, is just like something new... i will try the febreeze (sounds like a good idea) and if mine stops working in six months... I will consider myself satisfied. YOU CANT BEAT THE PRICE!!! I almost got the same type in a furniture store for 3 times the price and it was the same. I feel that im sleeping better and it helps to keep my neck and head in a comfy position all night. I think I will get another one for my husband.

I bought a similar memory foam pillow from target 2 years ago and loved it. It felt great and did not give out any funny smell. My husband kept stealing mine to help his back so recently we got another one for him. However, this one had a HORRIBLE chemical oder that did not go away even after airing it out for almost 2 weeks. I get nauseous every time I am near it. I think it is probably because of some fire retardant thing the company did to the pillows to comply with the new california fire safety codes. It is totally bad for you and your lungs to be breathing such hazardous chemicals. I am returning the pillow as soon as I can.
