Beautiful dress.... not at all what I expected

The dress is beautiful......The material does not feel at all like a normal dress you would purchase at Target....it has weight to it and it looks very well made. Make sure you order true to size....the only issue I had with the dress is the color and the name of the dress....the picture on the website does not show the true color as it looks more like a deep maroon. When I took it out of the packaging it was more of a fuschia color. It would have been more appropriate to have named it something like phlox or orchid other than cherry as it does not resemble the color of a cherry. Other than that the dress is beautiful and it is a keeper!

This dress is of satisfactory quality and is a beautiful color. I returned mine, ultimately, because although it fit to size in all other areas, like most of Target's dresses, it is cut short waisted. I am not especially tall at 5' 7", but the dress was about 2 inches short of my natural waist, making me look a little dumpy.
If you are petite or shorter than I am, the dress is an excellent buy.

I ordered this in the cherry (looks just like the photo...it's fuchsia, not cherry) and had the neckline altered to a deep scoop neck and hem taken up 3 inches for a more modern, fresh version of the dress. I wore it with a large turquoise necklace and nude patent heels to a wedding and got more compliments on this dress than anything I have worn to a wedding in the past. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately the zipper broke on the drive home and is now stuck in the middle so I'll have to have that replaced...that's why I knocked off a star on the rating.
