Not worth the money January 10, 2009 Reviewer:  D. Hess Real Name (CA)  See all my reviews >

Maybe for [price]. The assemble hardware is pure junk. The CAM bolts are cheap cast metal. Had 5 out of 8 break off in the wood (needed to be drilled out) after only a 1/4 turn of the CAM nut.

Packaging was flimsy and there were multiple dents and scratches upon delivery.

Easy assembly December 4, 2008 Reviewer:  James Fairchild "James C. Fairchild" Real Name (Fairfield, Iowa)  See all my reviews >

This desk is perfect for a computer and reasonably stable. I do wish the front of the drawer were prettier wood and the finish weren't quite so yellow, but, considering the price, I can live with these things. All the pieces arrived in good shape, and everything lined up perfectly. I did tighten one of the bolts too hard, however, and twisted off the head — so be careful about that. Fortunately, the makers have included extra hardware, so it wasn't a disaster. Also, when you insert the barrel nut, make sure the side with the screwdriver slot is showing so that you can adjust it; otherwise, you might waste a lot of time trying to get it to line up with the bolt. I purchased the side desk (see my review) for my printer, and they go together really well, though they aren't quite the same color. The side desk has a lighter, more natural color, but the difference isn't very obvious.

NOT for gamers! December 7, 2007 Reviewer:  MonsterMom "Mali" (Tomball, Tx, USA)  See all my reviews >

This is a great desk if all you are doing is browsing the web for a few minutes a day. However, if you are planning on using it for a work desk or if you are a gamer like myself, this is NOT the desk for you. The reason for that is this, the keyboard tray has a lip on it. This is highly functional for keeping your keyboard from falling off, but if you are doing ANY extended typing or mouse navigation, the lip cuts off circulation to your hands! yeah. You can avoid this by holding your arms at an awkward angle, but who wants do that for more than about 5 minutes? So, i will be moving this desk to the garage for use as a craft table and buying something more suitable for extended use.

I love this great little desk! June 12, 2009 Reviewer:  A. Harper Real Name See all my reviews >

I bought this desk in 2000 and it is still as sturdy as ever (2009)! Have upgraded from a very heavy PC Monitor that did not warp it to a flat screen that leaves me a lot of desk space. The hardware is sound, the drawer and keybard slide are in perfect condition and the desk is still sturdy. In fact I just bought a very similar desk set from Target.com for my son's room.

very unhappy Target customer February 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Randolph Edwards Real Name See all my reviews >

This is garbage. Do not waste your money on it. A couple of lag screws broke. When trying to put the top on.Noticed it was warped and unable to finish construction. Good Luck getting your money back. A waste of time.

durable, perfect, simple, funcational, sweet lines January 14, 2009 Reviewer:  cabin girl "Cabin girl" (North Georgia woods)  See all my reviews >

I've had one of these for 4 years and it's very durable. We thought it was a temporary piece but it's done so well for us there is no need to replace it. Great simple lines, light color, neat appearance makes it almost invisible. Functions even better now that we have a new desktop computer that the computer is so much smaller that it can sit on the desktop next to the moniter. We love it. And so since we now have a laptop, we decided to add the smaller computer desk, we put the printer on the top of that desk and use the keyboard drawer for the laptop. Looks great next to each other. Free shipping internet only on the smaller computer desk, we took a chance and were thrilled. If you want big stuff that takes a lot of room then go buy something else. If you want clean lines that blend in... we actually have a pine tongue and groove wall behind the desks... so we found the perfect stuff for us.. looks great against painted drywall too.

Don't waste your money or your time December 28, 2008 Reviewer:  A. Blanchard Real Name See all my reviews >

This desk fell apart while I was putting it together. The hardware is so cheap that the screws (which aren't really made of metal, more like plastic or some sort) snapped off several times while I was trying to attach the pieces, and they also weren't lined up properly to make them join up completely. Like others on here have noticed, my desktop was slightly warped, and also was chipped and scratched. When I called Target to complain, they told me that I would have to ship it back in order to get a refund or any sort of assistance. Because you have to destroy the box in order to get it out easily, shipping it back was next to impossible.

Great desk! July 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Pug Mom "Maggie A." (Pinson, AL)  See all my reviews >

We purchased a desk very similar to this (3 side slats instead of 4) from Target 9 years ago and have been very happy with it. We just purchased this desk for my husband's closet "office", along with the matching file cabinet, and it's great. Very easy to assemble & sturdy construction. I would highly recommend it.

sturdy May 21, 2009 Reviewer:  J. BARKER "fercott" Real Name (Oak Island, NC)  See all my reviews >

Very well built, solid desk. Love the color, sorry I can't get more of this style in stores anymore. Came with a large chip in the top panel, but I'm sure I'll do worse than that through the years with normal wear and tear. I like it.
