I used a snugli type carrier with my first daughter and it was so uncomfortable after about 2 months. I felt like she was going to fall out of it, and I hated how it felt on my shoulders.
This wrap is great, I've been using it for 5 1/2 months now. It spreads out across my back and shoulders so I don't even feel my daughters weight. She stays secure, and cozy, and my hands stay are free (important to me since I have to other children). Another big plus for me is that I can nurse her and stay covered up and no one even notices.

My 2 month old baby LOVES the Moby wrap. He slept for 2 and a half hours while walking through the grocery store. He also sleeps in it while I go for walks in our neighborhood. He has tummy problems and he can be crying SO hard but as soon as I put him in his Moby...he's out like a light! Definately lessens both of our stress levels. I'll be buying a Moby for every baby shower I go to from here on out!

We originally purchased a peanut shell sling. It hurt my back to carry her for any length of time in it, and she got very hot very quickly in it. It was February, and living in Florida, this would only get worse as time went on. So we returned it and purchased this instead.

We've had it for about a week now and absolutely love it. It is a little cumbersome to put on, but it's totally worth the effort. It has so much support that it hasn't given me any backaches - it is VERY comfortable. And, baby loves it too. We have gone for little walks in it and she falls right to sleep. Even running errands, I keep the wrap on while we drive, and taking her from car seat to wrap and back to car seat doesn't phase her. She will basically sleep or be quietly alert in it all of the time.

It's also nice that we can use this contraption until she's 35 lbs. We will get a lot of use out of it and none of the backaches that come with the sling. Even as she gets heavier, the fact that the fabric crosses and goes around your body evenly distributes her weight.

I plan on using this wrap for a long time and recommending to friends!

Well, I really wanted to love this product and had read so many great things about it. I think the idea of it and the versatility of use drove me to buy it but now I am torn. I was also hoping this would be something that I could nurse my baby in as well, but it hasn't really worked out that way.

I admit that the fact that the Moby Wrap is one long piece of fabric is sort of intimidating. It really isn't hard to put on if you read the instructions but I have had trouble getting it adjusted. Sometimes, it feels too tight (it cut off the circulation in my babies legs once), other times too loose.

With three little ones other than my infant to care for, I just don't have the time to fool around with getting this right. And I've had so much trouble trying to put this on in stores or in parking lots because I didn't want it to drag on the ground and get dirty as I put it on. The only option was to put it on before leaving the house. But I live in a warm climate and all of the fabric makes it just too hot for me to wear in the summer months.

I loved my Baby Bjorn for my other three kids but it can start to wear on your shoulders and back as babies grow, which is why I bought this. The Moby Wrap is definitely comfortable but the hassle has driven me to go back to the Baby Bjorn for the time being. After struggling to make this work for a month, I am relieved to have the ease of the old carrier. But I am hoping to try this again when my baby is bigger and once the weather cools down. Maybe my opinion will change.

Overall, it seems like a great buy but there is a lot to consider.

I bought a snugli for my first daughter, used it just a little bit though. My back would start to hurt after a while. My grandmother bought me the other wrap which was a little better because the material didn't dig into me. The while the birth of my second daughter she bought me the moby wrap. I was skeptical of how this one would support because it is just a long piece of fabric. Let me tell you first, don't be intimidated about putting it on, it's really easy to put on. Second it is soooo comfortable and easy to wear. My daughter will sleep for three hours in it easily. I use it every Sunday at church and I have no back or arm pain. For anyone who held a newborn for more than an hour knows about that pain. It's so supportive I am able to do laundry, dishes, pick up after the big sis and even eat. I love this wrap and recommend it to all parents. Don't waste your money on any other carrier.

I bought this because several of the moms on a parent's forum I belong to said nothing but good things about this wrap. I had previously bought a sling but my newborn son looked uncomfortable in it! This wrap is comfortable and holds my son close to me...whenever he is fussy I put him in this wrap and he falls right to sleep! Not to mention the 20+ different ways to wear it...gives you options! I have already recommended this wrap to several friends...one of which will be due with twins soon! This was the best purchase I have made for my son!

When I first got the wrap I was discouraged by the size, it's one long, big piece of fabric. But after watching the demo video a couple of times & practicing putting my 4 week old in, now it's quite easy! My baby boy falls fast asleep every time he is in this wrap. He is very content, snuggled up to me & I LOVE having him right on my chest snuggled so close. I can do everything I need to do around the house b/c I have 2 free hands & arms & he still does not wake up. The only down fall is that even though it is 100% cotton, my little guy still gets very hot in this wrap. But I live in a warm climate & he s still so young his body temp will change as he gets older.

I just bought my Moby Wrap for my 8 week old son, who is normally fussy when we take him out. He loves it! He fell asleep as soon as I put him in it, and adores being in his Moby! My next door neighbor is due in about 8 weeks with her 4th baby, and she went head over heels over mine, so I'm getting her one as a present for her new baby!!

Don't spend money on any other baby carrier! This is the one you need and cannot live without!!!

I absolutely love this "baby carrier" more than others I've had (Baby B'jorn, adjustable sling, Safety 1st carrier)! It spreads over the whole back giving wonderful support, not pulling on your shoulders or lower back. You can tuck baby away to sleep or let him peek out to look around. You can even fit two babies in it at one time! You can face baby out or cuddle him against your chest. You can completely tuck away a small baby for nursing on either side. You can adjust how tight it is for newborn to toddler. You can adjust it big enough to be over your winter coat or you can wrap it under your coat and it won't be bulkey.
