This is the second salt lamp I have purchased from Target. They ionize the air beautifully and the soft, ambient glow is a beautiful way to have a night light in a room with soft light. If I had I more money, I would be another one for myself; but I will also be giving these as gifts for any ocassion.
I am so glad I found these!

Item rcv'd was not what is shown in the picture. Lamp did not get warm enough to activate the aromatherapy pan, which was a metal cup in my case and not the plate shown in picture.

"the amount of ions emitted by a lamp varies in direct proportion to the exposed surface area of the salt lamp: the larger the surface area; the greater the output of negative ions. Negative ion output drops off dramatically within a few feet of the lamp regardless of its size and ion output. As a result, if it is ionization you are looking for, you may prefer to have more salt lamps placed throughout a room rather than one excessively large one."

So lets suspend belief and disbelief for a moment and appreciate the natural beauty of this 250 million year old work of Mother Nature's Art.
If the positive effects people attribute to Salt Lamps are scientifically provable or are simply a placebo, what's the difference.
If it makes you feel better I say light one up!

Yes, I would reorder from this seller. These Salt Lamps came very promptly, and they were in great condition. They were heavy, and a good size. I have been using them for about 2 weeks. the rag weed, and other pollens are strong where I live. I have seen a difference in my babys allergies.

This is much more beautiful than it looks in the ad. The salt crystals glow like rock crystals, emitting a sort of clear amber light. It is very peace inspriring to turn on this lamp and I have had many compliments on its beauty.
